DIRECTOR DISCLOSES THE THREE PAINS OF THE CREW

TV drama serial, Andox & Box, wrapped up smoothly on Jan 14.

The actors, in unison, threw the script into the air, relieved that finally they do not have to memorize the lines again.

As a lot of special effect is needed for the backdrop creation, post production work is going to be very tedious in term of time & effort.

Before the director can take a breather, he sighs, "The scriptwriter indeed is �evil�, not only he is 'hated' by the actors, the prop technicians too 'hated' him, this after-production work is a dread. But in order to create an excellent first idol comedy in the country, everyone has to work hard, I trust the final product will not be a disappointment."

ERIC TSANG IS THE NEW PRESEDENT OF HKPAG

Eric Tsang has taken over the post of Alan Tam to become the president of the 9th Executive Committee of Hong Kong Performing Artistes Guild. Alan Tam has completed his tenure in office on Dec 11 last year.

Votes were cast for the 9th Executive Committee earlier on. Eris Tsang was picked as the new president, the 4 vice-presidents are Richard Cheung Kuen, Stanley Tong, Eason Chan & Lam Ka Tung. Executive Committee includes Jacy Chan, Louis Cheung, Simon Yim & others.

Media was invited for a visit yesterday, to share the last journey of the space travel by Andox & Box.

Elder brother Andox remained gentle & quiet, just like a scholar, his brother on the other hand, was very showy, & good at making fun, with his plump body he imitated the way his mother walks & sang Stupid Child, he never missed the chance to tease the reporters. It was a funy & happy sight.

Female lead Zhang Han Ying admitted she is frivolous, she has fallen in love with both brothers.

Avatar which was being screened is also a sci-fic movie, it is obvious that his movie will be compared with it. Andox & Box attended New Year eve celebration in Zhejiang.

Recently, Zhejiang cable TV held a New Year eve celebration, many popular comedians, actors, actress & singers were invited. Andyfs 2 sons, Andox & Box's section of crazy Latino dance, with Box's 'chest shaking' moves, was most startling & colorful, not only brother Andox was dumb with shock, he stole the limelight of all the big stars.

The two brothers started by singing a song, How Are You, accompanied by hot dancing, They took the entire audience by surprise, despite looking colossus, they do not appear to be stiff. Their nimble, cheerful performance instantaneously hit the atmosphere to a high tide.

SIDE VIEW OF TU YI HEN LOOKS LIKE ANDY

Andy flew to Hangzhaou from HK yesterday (Jan 5), he reported for work at Hengdian, to start filming of Benny Chan's new movie.

The other male lead, Nicholas Tse, has arrived at Hengdian three days ago.

The movie, a collaboration of China Film Group, Emperor Motion Pictures, & Huayi Brothers had a press con in Henan Nov last year. It was announced then that this movie, invested at 200 million rmb, will only be filmed partly in Shaolin Temple, all the action scenes will be filmed in Hendgian studios.

At Hengzhou airport yesterday, fans welcomed one of the male leads Andy Lau. He will after Founding Of A Nation, wears general costume again, acting as a warlord in thsi movie. This is the first movie he films after his marriage was exposed.

At the airport yesterday, not only was he surrounded by fans, many tourists chased to take a glimpse of him. This gets to prove despite being a husband of somebody he is still as popular as ever. As soon as he stepped out of the customs, groups of tourists with luggage in tow kept going up to him, calling his name all the time, they held cameras high & ran after him. Some threw themselves on the car that ferried him, refusing to let him close the door.

According to sources, director Benny Chan requests actors have to personally act in the fighting scenes this time, everyone must master one gongfu skill, such as Nicholas Tse needs to practice fist fight, Wu Jin & Yu Shao Qin capturing skill with hands & so on. Andy as disciple of Shaolin of course needs to have real gongfu on hand. Last month a Shaolin teacher had gone to HK to teach him the skill.

At Hengdian yesterday, director Benny Chan confirmed that filming will start these 2 days, "Even Andy has arrived, of course we are starting. He is the lead!" Said the director. When asked how is Andy's gongfu now, he said,

"I'm yet to meet him, so I don't know! But he himself knows some fighting skill, I had seen him practicing before in HK, his understanding power is great, within a few days he can grasp the skill. He is also very hardworking, he spends many days practicing, I trust if you see him in futire you will be surprised."

With Jet Li's Shaolin Temple as predecessor, & a classic of Chinese movie, it is hard to make a breakthrough & gives audience an impression. For this, Benny Chan has maintained the backdrop of Shaolin Temple, almost all the content is changed.

"I hope to bring out the spirit of the Temple from inside to outside. 'Inside' means the zen spirit of martial arts, while 'outside' refers to Shaolin gongfu. Also, the gongfu is not going to be something everyone is familiar with, many are not seen before."

Nicholas Tse has stressed he will not allowed his pregnant wife to visit him at the shooting location, he will rather be a flying him himself to shutter to & fro & make good use of the filming time.

It is said shooting will end in June, while Cecilia is expected to deliver in May. Nicholas Tse has applied leave, as soon as he gets a call he will go back to HK to see arrival of his son, wherever he will be in China. He says from now on his will consider his wife & children before he accepts a movie, such as when Wong Jin approached him before, he asked him if he could film the movie nearer to HK, to facilitate him in flying back to HK.

The ideal wife in Andy's heart is, in actual fact, Cherrie Cheung.

After his secret marriage was exposed, & was blamed for having cheated on his fans, Andy kept silence was a while. For the promo of Future X Cops, he accepted the interview of Ming Pao Weekly recently.

The moment he heard of the word 'wife', he became very alert immediately, "Cherrie Cheung is a very good wife. She is the type of wife in my heart."

He self revealed that before Cherrie's marriage she had filmed a movie with him, at that time, she was reading recipes all the time.

Said, "She told me, to be someone's wife, you must know how to cook, at that time, she was not one who goes to the kitchen, also she was about to get married, but she insisted of not dieting to slim down."

With the coming of new year, Chinese movie enters a pre-heating period for the upcoming Spring Festival. The reporters learnt from insiders that the movie starring Andy, Big S, due for release on Feb 5 has pulled out of the screening date.

The reporter contacted China Films Group marketing director Mr Fan, who has confirmed the news.

"Really we are thinking of pushing back the screening date, we want to withdraw from the new year slots."

As for the reasons, Mr Fan replied that it was due to failure to complete the later stage of production in time.

At his peak in the olden days he filmed 14 movies in a year, now he has reduced the number to even one a year, all because of his family member & his wife. In a recent interview by a magazine, for once he opens up with his marriage life, he indicates that from now onwards he will take 6 weeks of holidays a year to keep is family members company. Once he is off work he will be home to keep his wife company. He tries to be at home for at least 10 hours a day. When he has time he will watch TV with his wife & his parents.

When asked about his feelings of being a husband, he said, "Whether I am someone else husband, it is not as what other people to say, it is the feeling of the lady concerned, as long as she feels it, is enough."

As for making babies, he keeps his lips sealed, just said, "Donft ask me on this."

8 years after the death of Anita Mui, the trouble left behind has yet to be settled. Her inheritance lawsuit is a complicated legal matter dragging for years. Her mother's maintenance fee has increased from HK70,000 a month to 120,000 a month, but since most of the assets are still in the hands of others, Mui's family is unwilling to give up, saying that in May they will file another lawsuit.

In the newly released trailer was a scene when Andy was pinned under by the head of Buddha, weighing thousands of katis, for sure this is going to made audience break out in cold sweat. The head statue, measuring 3 meter over in height, was over a thousand katis in weight. 20 over workers were needed to move it. The fighting scene was filmed with Andy standing below the statue & was having a fierce fight with Louis Fan. To make it realistic, Andy rejected offer of a stand-in.

Though precautions were taken during movement of the statue, the heavy statue suddenly gave way, it collapsed pinning Andy down on the ground.

The staff at the scene immediately went forward to held Andy up, but this spoilt the filming & could not be used. Despite having pain all over the body, Andy did not complain, after a short rest he was in again. To give a most shocking effect, after every take Andy with the pain went forward to view the replay. If there was something he was not satisfied with, he would ask for a re-take.

S e xy actress Tang Yifei in Future X Cops was one who fought with Andy till death, she was half-human half machine, the two fought through time space of 70 years. Tang, high-heeled, leotard wearing, in a cat-style kneeling position, compared to Big S S-shaped policewoman look, indeed stood out & oozed sex appeal.

The movie portrayed scenes of the future, the screenwriter has used his imagination to the fullest. He added much colors to 'future cop' Andy and ebeautiful crime woman' Tang Yifei. After some high tech's effect, Tang had tail of a scorpion tail, wing of a bat, arms of the praying mantis, leopard's speed and other super ability, making her half-human half machine. Her high level of energy gave high threats, she was transformed to a ruthless hot beautiful crime lady. The entire movie centers on the fight between 'superhuman' & evil.

Other than wearing s e xy tight-fitting leather clothing Tang was also in bikini and ultra-short pants. Though her clothing comes with little material, actually it has been fitted with lethal weapons, she even could alternate use of the weapons.

In this movie, she not only depicts demeanor of a ruthless hot villain , it also shows high tech achievement. The expenditure for the special effect is high at ten million over.

At his start of his concert in Macau, which was held in the afternoon, Andy was hoisted to a height, he then descended via a rope, singing the song, Chinese.

Midway through the concert, he was again hoisted to mid-air by a crane, dancing & singing (Having Fun Alone)

The most dangerous part came at the end of the concert, when he was hoisted to 8-storey high, standing on a plane the size of a brick, to greet his fans seated at the 'mountain top'!
