While interviewing Eason Chan on the stage, Astrid had unbearable stomach cramp, almost going to embarrass herself.

Andy had taken the same sandwich as Astrid, he might get it anytime.

Lam Fong & Astrid Chan attended the 88 Artiste FRC 2 nights ago, both of them indicated that they have gastroenteritis, having diarrhoea & vomiting. Astrid Chan said she had stomach cramp so painful that she almost could not bear it. Both stressed that this has noting to do with the food given at the disaster relief activity. Astrid said Andy Lau had taken the same sandwich as her, but Andy was well.

According to Astrid, on the morning of the show, she bought egg sandwiches as she was hungry, said,

"I gave Andy half of it, I began to feel unwell in the evening with stomach cramp, Andy asked me if I was alright, when he heard I was unwell he said he took it also, I shall call him again later to ask if he is ok, I felt so drained, by 10 pm I could not stand & left early, I had diarrhoea about 5 X, when I interviewed Eason on the stage I felt the worst. "

Andy who shard the same sandwich as Astrid had through his asst replied that he has not felt anything unwell.

88 Artiste Fundraising Campaign was completed smoothly 2 nights ago. Participating entertainers made no distinctions but had with concerted efforts helped in disaster relief, although the program made little mistakes here & there, it is believed everybody is forgiving.

Eric Tseng highlighted it was chaotic when Alan Tam & some singers were to sing 'Friends', it was because they thought of cutting this segment as the programme has dragged too long, & also Alan would be performing again later, but when the host said CUT, artistes at the entrance heard wrongly & thought it was rushing Alan to go onstage, finally only half of the song was sung. After this incidence, Eric said next time he will arrange for host to be at the entrance to minimize mistakes.

All the 4 heavenly kings had appealed to the public & sang songs, said Eric,

"It was initially arranged for the 4 to appear together, this is most representative, but was unable to do so as time did not fit well."

LL only appeared to appeal for donation, but did not sing, said Eric, "Leon had prepared to sing, but he rushed from shooting location, he was shooting a gun fighting scene, he did not want to go onstage with body full of blood, not anything else. "

ANDY & LL STRANGE INTERACTION AT DISASTER RELIEF
FOUR HEAVENLY KINGS DID NOT FORM A GROUP

At the 88 Artiste Fund raising campaign on Aug 17, the 4 heavenly kings who hardly have time to meet finally still failed to come together.

In Taiwan last week, when LL was on the same stage with Andy, there was another person dividing the two of them. When Andy spoke, all other artistes looked at him & nodded in agreement, LL just had his arm folded on his chest, without any expression.

But when LL spoke, Andy helped him to hold the mike, looked at him attentively, there is a vast difference in behavior.

At last night fundraising, Andy from beginning to end shutter to & fro on the stage, he first sang a duet with Sammi, then sang with Richie Ren World No 1, to encourage Taiwanese people. He too sang with Wynners 5 Tigers the song 'Friends'. He foot his own bill in going to TW, before the charity show last night. Indeed puts in effort & money.

LL had not mentioned if he would attend, at the later part he appeared to wish TW people 'peace & safety'. He is the only one of the 4 not performing.

At Asia Expo last night, there was no glamorous stage set-up, no glamorous costumes, on the stage were close to 300 artistes coming from the 3 regions across the straits all cladded in plain white, while those down the stage in solemn silence. There was no cheers, no one waving light sticks, thousands had gathered, not to see an exciting performance, but to tell victims affected by typhoon in Taiwan they are not alone during this tough time, coming from the heart, everyone wished to yelled.

"All the way, Taiwan!"

In support of disaster relief, HK entertainment circle, in conjunction with 24 organizations & media held a 4 hour long 88 fund-raising campaign, using songs to appeal to the Chinese in the world to donate generously. At 1130pm, a sum of 50.9 million was raised, excluding those from the venue & online.

100 over singers sang the theme song, 'Bridge Over troubled Water', at curtain opening. This was followed by a speech by Civil Affairs Administrative Bureau chief Zeng Deheng,

"The artistes from the 3 regions are never behind in doing charity, tonight all the big stars are here, to convey our love, I hope everyone responds to our call, I represent HK residents to show our deep & sincere concern."

13 over hosts were called in to stage the show, including Nat Chan, Bao QiJing, Sandra Ng, Wu Xiaoli, Sylvia Chang, ... & others from the TV & radio broadcast rstations.300 over singers from the 3 regions included Eric Tseng, Alan Tam, Andy Lau, Jacky Cheung, Aaron Kwok, Sammi, Mirium, Haken, Leo Koo, Adam Cheng, David Tao, Cai Qin, & others.

Alan Tam donated his Best Actor trophy won @ Golden Horse award with his movie in the previous years 'If I Am True', he said, "This is whole-heartedly donated, I hope to let the kind donor place this in his house for a year." It was finally won by his good friend Chen Guo Qiang with 500,000. Another statue of Goddess of Mercy that protects the home was auctioned with the lowest 300,000, a donor beat with 500,000.

Andy & Sammi sang a duet Cheer, said Sammi, "There is no way we can run away from natural disaster, human beings are minute, we have to face it positively, with courage live on! After darkness there will be light again! "

The activity was broadcasted live to TW, Singapore, Malaysia, America & other places. About 2 to 400 million people could watch the programme.

200 over artistes from the entertainment circle gathered @ TVB City to recors the theme song for a fund-raising activity organized by the HK performing Artistes Guild, 'Artistes 88 Fund Raising Campaign', the song is titled ' Torrential Hearts From Across Thousand of Miles, ( which is a reorganization of the song by Paul Frederic Simon, Bridge Over Troubled Waters )

The activity will be held tonight (Monday) @ HLIA Asia World Expo.

Artsites included both from ATV & TVB actors, such as Paw Hee Ching, fat mama Maria & others, president Eric Tseng took charge of the overall plan, directing the placing of the artistes. In the name of charity, HK TV stations broke the limitations in sending love to the disaster zones.

Vice-president Andy Lau who had just returned from Taiwan fund raising activity, rushed to the recording, he shared with others what he had seen & heard when he was in TW,

said, "Majority of the disaster victims thsi time are the aboriginanes who are locally breed, they have limited access to the outside news, so our aim in disaster relief is to let them know they are not without help, we shall send our warmth to them. "

Recording went on smoothly that night, they dubbed both Mandarin & Cantonese versions, Andy even personally changed the lyrics of the songs so it is easier for all to remember, he held the placard high for all to see clearly. He indicated he had just come back from TW & was not quite sure what he will perform on Monday night, Eric was in charge of contacting artistes, & takes care of the style of the programme, so as to let the victims know the concern shown to them.

Andy also urged fans not to come to celebrate his birthday in September, he would rather they donate the money to help disaster relief, said, "I would rather go to TW later to hold some activities with them. He said his fans have send messages to him to say they are safe, none of his fans are in danger. "

As they are 200 over artistes attending the recording, Eric directed their seating, & reminded them all to wear denim jeans on Monday to the activity, white tee shirt will be given out by the organizer. Saaid, "Hope no tattered jeans are seen, we must let others see we are very neat."

As the recording was in a rush, many artistes did not come with white tee shirt, Alan Tam & Peng Jian Xin came in black tee shirts, teased Eric, "What color shirt shall we awear? Why are you wearing black? Even as leaders you are like that, go & change fast!"

Alan explained he ddi not know he must wear white, he purposely choose black to suit the mood, Vincy Chan came in a transparent white blouse with black vest inside, another came with low cut collar that needed to be adjusted all the time.

ENTRY DONATION NOT TO BE LESS THAN HK $20

Those who wish to see the performance can go to Asia Expo from 6 pm onwards, with a donation of not less than HK$20 they can enter to see the show, seats are on first come first serve basis. To control flow of traffic, they are to follow the directions of the workers, they have to be more than 6 year old. The proceeds will be donated to HK Red Cross to aid in TW Morakot disaster.

Taiwan son-in-law Jacky Chan other than sponsoring the production of fund raising nite on the 17th in HK, had donated a sum of NT 10 million (HK$2.33 million) to Hua San Foundation, he filmed a video clip to encourage the Taiwanese people. Peter Lam who is also a son-in-law of TW said, "I am half a Taiwanese, this is what I should do!"

There were 2 fund-raising activities last night, 'Pass The Love On' & 'Wishing For A Home'. Andy Lau, LL, Wang Li-Hom, Jet Li, David Tao, Wu Bai, Vanness Wu, Cai Qin, Sandra Ng, Bowie Tseng & others, 200 over artistes were present to lend their hands in fund raising.

Cai Qin brought along cash, she sang a song. Andy sang a song .My Most Beloved to encourage the victims. Bowie indicated she represented her father Eric Tseng, as her father is busy organizing the activity on the 17 in HK he was not able to come.. He has sent all the proceeds collected from HK to TW.

After 6 hours of marathon activity, a total sum of NT$ 450,000,000, (450 million) or HK 105,000,000 was raised.

Blood is thicker than water, HK aristes will on next Monday hold a fund raising activity in HK. 12 organizations made a joint announcement yesterday.

Artiste Guild honorary chairman Eric Tseng indicated the activity will he held next Monday @ Asia World Expo. CTV and Zhong Tian TV station will co-host a disaster relief fund raising activity called 'Pass The Love On' this Friday. The two producers Wang Jun & Wang Weizhong will at 8 o'clock & 10 o’clock slots collaborate to produce the programme, there is a tussle to see who can get the best candidates to boost the activity.

Currently Wang Jun has confirmed he has invited Andy Lau, who has promised to fly to Taiwan specially to earnestly contribute to the activity.

Andy has just completed shooting of Di Renjie, a couple of days ago after reading the news, he called his Focus Company in Taiwan to ask what he can do. The three with total age of 100 over were extremely high, esp Andy Lau, who initiated water spraying, not only was he wet from inside out, he had to attend the post concert celebration in a wet underwear.

Andy Hui kicked off the concert singing songs of other male singers, including Eason's Leslie's, Jacky Cheung's, Nat Chan's & George Lam's songs. He was extremely happy to have an audience of 8,000 over to celebrate birthday with him.

Andy raised the atmosphere to the climax, as most of the audience were his fans, when they saw him, they all rushed to the front, creating a rowdy scene, It was just like his own fans gathering. Andy on seeing this, urged continuously for them to go back to their seats, said, "From the wireless, I get to know HK police is checking if there is chaos here, so please move back a little."

He did not forget to showcase Latino dance which he is most good at. He won a lot of applause.

With 3 superstars it sure was a draw, many fans attended this concert which is hard to come by.

Richie kicked off the concert by singing a Cantonese pop song Friend Have You Changed & his latest single. This was followed by Andy Hui who sang Being A Happy Couple Flying Together & Heal The World.

After Andy sang solo I Wish, the 3 good friends again gathered to sang Alone Having Fun Privately, The Girl Opposite Please Look Overs & other popular hits.

At the finale, they played water guns, splashing water on each other, indeed having so much fun.

It is Andy Hu's bday on the 12th, fans presented him a birthday cake to celebrate. But Andy Hui was all wet after being spray by a playful Andy, who even got Richie to promise him to play water gun again in his concert.

Astickets were not on public sale, the sale resulted in a black market wave, a ticket can be sold 4 thousand over. Andy reminded his fans not to support this trend.

The musical which gathered the trio should be worth watching, Richie teased that all the three of them are diamond bachelors, Andy replied humorously, "Richie is diamond, Andy Hui is superstar, I am the concert."

On the ticket not enough to meet demand, Andy urges his fans not to buy black market ticket. He too knows that ticket supply is short, his fans were given tickets at the extreme left row. They sang praises of each other, saying each other friends come actually to see the other.

The final diagnosis was left spontaneous pneumothorax , on admission her thorax was compressed to 70%. Yesterday at around 7 pm, she had silently left the hospital accompanied by her assistant. There was however no record at the hospital, the reporter traced her all the way back to Hengdian, it was confirmed that she had to act opposite Carina Lau in one scene today, she had thus needed to rush back.

There are many causes of spontaneous pneumothorax, such as violent concussion, exercise or chronic cough. When told she fell from the horse previously, the dr said there is a possibility for injury.

Li Bing Bing stayed in the ward the whole day, even Xray was done in the ward. In actual fact, Li Bing Bing was not so obedient, she was actually planiing how to get back asap, at 7 pm, she left the hosp. It is said she will be back for treatment after some filming.

Accordingly, she needed to stay for a week in the hospital, though the pneumothoarx has been released, it may recur anytime.

The set commented Li Bing Bing worked too hard this time, She was darn serious during filming, she wears 4 thick layers of costumes, she perspires non-stop, but she never complains, her good fighting skill is all due to her overtime training.

Andy during interview had said after supper she still came out to do training again. He had wanted to teach her how to fight, but was beaten up instead ,so much that he ran away.

It was said she does not have much acting left, the movie was to wrap up on Aug 2, but it is not possible now. Just adding scenes will take upa bout a week to do.

The set said Li Bing Bing has been coughing for a week, falling from horse is not the cause of her sickness.

Mr John Ho is not someone who gets excited about meeting stars. He says,

"I guess it is an occupational hazard since I meet so many of them."

He concedes though that he did look forward to his first meeting with HK superstar Andy Lau many years ago when the celebrity came to SG for a movie promotional event organized by his company.

He says, "I was happy to meet an actor whose acting I appreciate, although I was not what you would call excited."

And his first impression of the star is that he is a consummate professional.

Recently media exposed that Andy had burnt his hand during shooting, what was left was an ugly scar. On this, clarifies Andy, "Those scars are actually special effects used for shooting, there was no real injury." He specially exposed how the scar was made.

Andy had revealed this in his diary, said, "When I saw the news headline on how terrifyingthe the burnt scar was ,... actually, I too was shocked.. how come there was a report on the scar. It was just a make-up for filming, it looks so real, this gets to show our seriousness with the making!"

Said Andy, "I like this script very much, this is no problem, I am very happy with filming, filming Tsui Hark's movie is like going back to the golden years in HK for the movie industry, also, Sammo Hung as action director has designed action scenes very well, I have never thought I will get injured, but I think perhaps I may not film action movies again a few years later, by then I may not be able to catch up."

Luckily at the place where I work I was able to see such a beautiful total solar eclipse, really a rare opportunity! In all, this life time not only are we predestined to be close to grandfather sun, between you & me, we are predestined friends! Treasure this affinity, treasure this fortune!"
