June 11, period blockbuster Di Ren Jie held the first Asia Press Meet @ Hengdian. Director leading main actors Andy Lau, Li Bing Bing, Carina Lau, action director Sammu Hung to meet the press.

On June 11, HK artiste Andy Lau who is filming in Hengdian phoned Chong Nan Hospital where a police officer named Tan Jixiong is undergoing treatment. This brought a happy smile to the faithful fan of his.

At around 5pm, the policeman who was held hostage be a kidnapper @ Wuhan University & sustained a bullet shot on the forehead received a very special phone call.

Though he was mentally prepared, when he heard Andy's voice, he was very excited, "LIu De Hua, Ni Hao." His 5 words came out loud & clear.

Helongjiang TV station & Shanghai Movie Group ha planned to shoot a blockbuster YOUNG LADY GENERALS for the 2010 Shanghai Fim Festival.

The project is a co-joint venture of HK East Asia, Shanghai Movie Group, Xian Movie Production, America Columbia company, shooting will begin in December in Inner Mongolia, & slated for release summer of 2010.

HK Frankie Chan will direct the movie, which is invested at US$20 million. At the moment the cast is confirmed to include Andy Lau, Michelle Yeoh, Siqin Gaowa , Fan Bing Bing, Ah Sa, S.H.E, Shaoqun Yu & others. The cast comes strong.

Helongjian TV station will officially in July start selecting candidates to be included. More details will be made known later.

The temp difference makes the crew staff having colds of different degrees, this makes Andy & Li Bing2 anxious as both of them were going o HK, once contacted with Influenza A H1N1 they may have to be quarantined for a week!

POLICE TOOK AWAY SMALL IMPERIAL GUARD

This small boy after watching House of Flying Daggers, became besotted with the imperial guard played by Andy Lau, he bought a curved knife & acted cool near to his school, he was finally took away by the police.

This boy, aged 16, stays in Chongqing. Yesterday afternoon, after watching HOFD, he was full of admiration for the heroic look Andy Lau who played a guard holding a big knife.

He went to the shop to buy a 40 cm long curved knife, & proceeded to a primary school in the city to play. It was just after school, many children gathered to look, making him feel very proud of himself.

When a police patrol car passed by, the police was shocked to see how he hurled the curved knife, it flew to the front of the children, almost hurting them, the children were unaware of the danger, they clapped & cheered.

The police called him to stop, but he turned a deaf ear, Policeman Shun then went forward to 'invite' him to the police station. He even blamed the police man for spoiling his mood.

Onluy when he heard that his curved knife will be confiscated, he began to beg the policeman, he promised to play it at home, but to no avail, the small 'imperial guard' almost in tears, followed the police to the police station.

Tsui Hark's new movie Di Ren Jie has been shooting for a month now @ Heng Dian Movie City, Andy, Li Bing Bing has joined & left the set several times, only Carina Lau who is playing Wu Ze Tian has not joined the set yet.

On this Carina indicated she will joined only early June. Of late, she has been reading books on Wu Ze Tian, & has developed a strong interest, she has a strong desire to know all about this lady.

At the interview, she said, "I feel that Wu Ze Tian is really a great person, why was there no stone monument for her after her death? I think of 2 possibilities, one was that she had endless merits, one was she did not care about all this, looks like she was even more heroic than the men emperor, ...." If the reporter had not interrupted, she would continue talking, when asked if there is any similarity between her & this character, she said frankly she has no place on apr with Wu Ze Tian,

"If there is anything to compare to, it should be we are both very strong, we know we must not give up but be very insisting, diligently changing our destiny."

The scene that was shot that night was Andy fighting with a male deer. He climbed on a statue of about 3 m high, there was a suspension wire on his back, action director was instructing him how to balance his body, showed him how to put out the sword, even demonstrating the actions himself. The deer-headed prop came attacking Andy swiftly, Andy with his long sword shunned the attack, a fierce fighting ensued.

At rest time, Andy did not fail to display his naughty side, holding the horns of the deer he tested how strong it was, all the workers laughed at him.
