To be one in the circle who knows how to control the fans, it has to be one & only Andy Lau. Last Friday he was in Shanghai with the cast of ABOW, Nicky, Fan Bing2, Choi Si Won, his fans screamed till the sky came down on seeing him, so mach so that the emcee could not be heard! On seeing his fans screaming so frantically, pouting his lips at first, he then put his index finger to his mouth, signaling them to be quiet. The fans stopped immediately!
Andy had wanted to go down the stage to get near to them, but the scene was really chaotic. As soon as the interview was over, the actors were lead away by the guards. But his female fans were really passionate, they chased him till he entered the lift. Later they even argued with the securities. If they could get near to Andy, wouldn't Andy be torn to pieces?
Reasons one must watch: Hard to see Andy so reserved, 10 years of hard work by Jacob Cheung.
HK movie industry has been quiet for a long time in 2006, real good movies are pathetically few. ABOW is just like a source of light in the darkness, even if it is not able to brighten up the market, the flickers of light is enough. There is veteran actor Andy, big director Jacob who is down-to-earth & just come out after a long break, the storyline comes from a classic history of the nation, adapted from the young comic, how can this fail to attract viewers?
It can be seen Jacob is v serious with his work, within 2 1/2 hr he managed to put in all in the story, the scene was not lacking in grandiosity. A pity it was affected by external factors. Luckily this movie lacks the unnecessary 'glamor' as in The Promise, HOFD, The Banquet. The movie has some long & boring dialogue sometimes.

The writer encountered a website by the netizen Liu Qiang titled 'Secret File of the Life of Andy Lau' , it has attracted 9,000 viewers so far.
The short clip included behind the scenes of Andy. There was Andy entering the cockpit to say hello to the pilots, playing kites, & having meals. It was interesting. There was once Andy had his bday on the plane, in Mandarin, said, "This is the first time I cut a cake so high up in the air. The airhostess asked me to eat up the 2 words 'Happiness' (the cream on the cake). He scooped up the cream & put it into his mouth, after that he showed a face full of happiness.
Historical epic A Battle of Wits opened yesterday country-wide, sparking off a heat wave for the year-end movies. Box office on the first day already hit 4 million. Cinemas in the major cities all scored their best record for the month of November. It helps to break the low in box office. The outlook seems good for this movie.
After the premiere, good reviews come one after another, be it from the media, cinema or fans. It is said success of the movie lies in its simplicity, back to reality nature. It makes use of reality to reflect cruelty of war. There is storyin it, no anti-climax, pitting of wits is exciting, this liveliness is one that is hard to come by of late.
The battle scenes are unexpectedly exciting …………….
Usual war movies attract mostly male viewers but females seem to have a strong interest with this movie too.
Andy as Ge Li is well acknowledged by all, they feel that this is one of his excellent movie in these years............

After launching 3 sets of commercials showcasing Andy in September, Swiss watch Cyma is launching another 3 brand new sets for winter. Andy has been its spokesman in China & SEA since 05.
Andy is an exemplary figure in the showbiz for diligence & progress, even though at a heavenly status he grasps every opportunity to seek breakthrough in his career. Just like what he says in the commercial, "I Continue to move forward, this makes me know how to control my time better than the others." Sitting on a true leather yet simple sofa, in a black suit, eyes revealing confidence, he exudes the charisma & inner beauty of a successful man.
Another set of commercial has the backdrop of a party. The red wall & sofa makes Andy who is in black suit, white shirt & bow tie even more outstanding. He was fully engrossed, playing with a whistle. During shooting loud music was played so he could be in the mood, he was relaxed & played tricks just like in a real party. He declaring his view on happiness, "When comes to a celebration, one must actively makes oneself happy."
In another look, he was like a white horse prince, holding a glamorous shimmering high-heeled shoe, eyes exuding romance & blissfulness, making any lady on seeing it feels like owning that shoe. He declares, "For 2 persons to be together, they must head for the same target."

Opening Day: 23 November 2006
A lavishly-produced historical drama from China, A Battle of Wits tells the complex story of a lone warrior whose mission is to save a besieged walled city from the savage attack of a 25,000 strong army.
Late in the 3rd century, when China comprised seven rival kingdoms, Ge-Li – an remarkable savior in rags – stands alone in an endangered city waiting to fulfill his destiny.
It is an impossible battle however you look at it. But here is a lone man willing to climb every mountain and cross every river just to get to the city of Liang with only one aim: to deliver Liang from the overwhelming threat of the Kingdom of Zhao in her battle against the Kingdom of Yan.
Ge Li is the last Mohist in the Warring States period of China. Facing him in the field are thousands of swift chariots ad many thousands more mail-clad soldiers. His battle will be the loneliest battle in the history of war. No battle has ever been this unmatched in strength.
Would this one man alone be able to change the destiny of Liang? On the surface, this is a battle for which bloodshed would be inevitable. But in reality it is also a battle of wits. A struggle between power and desire: between a ruler and those being ruled. A message of anti-war through war itself.
We will probably never know what historical warring states looked like, and how it feels to live during that era. However, thanks to history books, and most importantly, movies, we get an idea how people lived then.
Also, we get to learn some important and valuable historical lessons in the process.
But alas, historical dramas are gradually becoming computer-generated spectaculars with heavier emphasis on showing off what technology can do, rather than making sure that the movie flows with a sturdy storyline.
Imagine how relieved we were, after viewing this 2-odd hour China-Korea-Japan production which not only boasts of countless magnificent battle scenes, but also a strongly anchored plot.
Based on a mid-90s manga, the expensive production tells the story of one noble man who goes all out to guard a city from a massive horde of enemy army. Along the way, he faces obstacles in the forms of a selfish ruler, traitorous townsmen and most crucially, his own beliefs about peace and survival.
With US$16 million thrown into the budget, it is easy to lose the production to senseless special effects and fancy mindless postproduction. But director Jacob Cheung makes sure that his film does not end up like Chen Kaige’s laughable The Promise (2005), by paying particular attention to the pacing of the plot.
The movie takes it own time to develop the screenplay, and this may shun away some less patient viewers. But we’d recommend that you stay with the film, because of its gradual buildup of character personalities, interspersed with impressive battle scenes starring many soldiers, horses, bows and arrows.
And most of them aren’t even computer-generated.
Considering that Chueng’s director filmography consists of mainly affecting human dramas like 2001’s Midnight Fly starring Simon Yam and the late Anita Mui, as well as 1997’s Intimates featuring Carina Lau and Charlie Yeung, this latest big-budget work of his is definitely a commendable feat.
The Hong Kong director would probably want to thank his reliable cast as well. While we have never been too impressed with Andy Lau’s acting; his toned-down performance as the lone warrior is pleasantly well-portrayed.
But our favourite performance comes from veteran Shanghai actor Wang Zhiwen who plays the unwise ruler of the town that is under siege from a strong army. His stubborn and selfish ways comes through effectively, with just a proud swagger or a condescending look in the eyes. These subtle gestures are enough for you to detest his character.
Other familiar faces like Taiwanese pop singer Nicky Wu, Chinese actress Fan Bingbing and Koreans Ahn Sung Ki and Choi Si Won round up this well-represented Asian cast.
What really completes this movie is the noble message behind it. Thought-provoking notions about universal peace, philanthropic human nature, innocence and victimization are raised throughout. These concepts keep prodding you at the back of your mind while your eyes feast on the visually-glorious captured on the films lens.
At the end of the day, the movie may not provide you with answers to those questions. But perhaps, that is the most valuable lesson you can take home after stepping out of the cinema.
(A sincere historical mega production with values that resonate with today’s viewers)
Review by John Li
At the promo in Shanghai recently, a male fan rushed up the stage to give Andy a bear hug. Andy admitted he gave him a fright, & urged fans not to use this route to gain attention. This male fan however, not only ignores his advice, bragged at his blog, & openly disclosed private details of some artistes. There is no sign of remorse.
Calling himself 'Walking with Head Bow' male fan of Andy, has for days recounted the incident with photos & diary on his blog. He claims to have love Andy for more than 20 years, his friends & relatives call him Hua Zai. On his action, he said he was conscious of his action & is not a fanatic, "By no means it was an impulse that I rushed up the stage………if u ask me if I would do it again, then I can tell u whenever there is a chance, I still will, thank you."
He wrote proudly, "I hugged & lifted up the giant who stand tall in the show business for 20 years, he is still as glamorous a star today---Andy Lau, I twirl him 2 1/2 circle in the air before I put him down. Andy even told the body guards who rushed there, 'Do not drag him, careful'. He was worried that I would be injured by them………"
On his action, netizens have varied reactions, some criticized he frighten the idol, some envy he could get close to Andy. He also disclosed the emails & hp nos of a nos of artistes, including the email of Andy, & Nicholas Tse & Kenny Kwan. But after a search by the reporters they are all false.
Andy was interview via phone yesterday, he was very accommodative, "I know it only after u had told me. I had a fright that night but he was just too passionate. (Some said he touched your backside?) No, he lifted my body up from the knee area, it was quite embarrassing, but he did not touch the sensitive area. I hope next time he can stay calm, as such action will interfere with the activity, & the security will get scolding too."
He continued, "If he wants to support me, he can join Andy World Club, I have more than 20,000 sq ft area for him to play. (He disclosed your email address?) I do not play this sort of thing, I hope he won't release this sort of false information."
During the Warring States period in China, seven great states battled for dominance.
The minor city Liang, which lies between Zhao and Yan, comes under attack by the massive Zhao army led by strategist Xiang Yan Zhong (Ahn Sung Ki).
Tiny, stranded and against overwhelming odds, the small city seeks aid from the Mohists, followers of the philosophy of Mozi and masters of defensive strategies.
But only one Mohist arrives - Ge Li (Andy Lau) - and he has never even defended a city before.
Still, the greatest danger to Liang may not even be the invading enemy, but its own rulers.
'A good fort needs a gap. The enemy must be lured in. So we can attack them. If we only defend, we lose the war.'
In A Battle Of Wits, this is Ge Li's plan.
First, he deliberately leaves the city's south wall vulnerable; second, he allows the enemy within the gates to be slaughtered.
But this is not a quote from this movie. It is actually from another classic with a similar plot.
The film? One of my favourites of all time: Akira Kurosawa's Seven Samurai.
The scale is considerably larger in Battle Of Wits though. It focuses on a city instead of a tiny village; a marauding army instead of roving bandits.
A movie based on a Japanese manga, Battle shares similar themes with Kurosawa's Samurai - the class struggle, idealism versus reactionary forces, the meaning of valour, the value of life, the futility of war.
But Battle has a very different storyline, background and characters. Bloodier and more cruel, it is a no-holds-barred depiction of a struggle between two sides, neither of which can be said to be 'good'.
The film-makers have cleverly appropriated recurring events in Chinese history/folklore - the valiant general undone by a jealous and incompetent ruler, and a conniving, cowardly courtier (think Yue Fei or Jiang Wei of the Three Kingdoms era).
These are sure to resonate with viewers familiar with Chinese history.
But the film is by no means a mindless bloodbath. Is is also introspective, urging us to think deeply.
Is universal love the solution to all our problems, as Mo Zi exhorted? Or is it, as one character puts it, a failure to discern who deserves to be loved?
Morally ambiguous - it rails against war even as it celebrates warrior virtues. Verging on nihilism, it offers no answers.
And while it suffers from some prolonged exposition, it is necessary if only for historical insight into Mohism.
Characters are well sketched and the casting is spot on - Fan Bingbing is lovable as a cavalry woman and Wang Zhiwen is a scene-stealer as the limping king. Nicky Wu, as an archer, is like Legolas, except less annoying.
Battle's main weakness is the few laughable CGI scenes which I hope will be reworked when it's released on DVD.
Apart from this, Battle is thought-provoking, heart-rending, and boasts some breathtaking action.
This is what epic films are supposed to be.
The one scene that justifies the ticket price: Too many. I refuse to pick.
The one scene that will eject you from your seat: Ge Li doing a Tarzan swing.
Best quote: 'Why can't they just surrender? It's the same whoever I pay taxes to.'
Moral of the story: War is futile

TITLE: A BLITZ OF STARS AND STUNTS
Ignore the pesky factual details and simply enjoy this action-packed saga adapted from Japanese manga.
A BATTLE OF WITS
3 1/2 stars
By Tan Dawn Wei
The way to enjoy this period war epic is not to niggle over the details, like how African slaves didn't exactly arrive in China in 370 BC, or that impressive cavalry like the one led by Fan Bingbing in the movie didn't quite exist then either.
The way to enjoy it is just to accept it for what it is - an ambitious, action-pakced and watchable saga adapted from a Japanese manga with anti-war aspirations.
Starring Hong Kong superstar Andy Lau as an impossible-to-hate thinker-warrior, this big-budget Chinese-Korean-Japanese co-production rides primarily on his star power and, secondarily, on the impressive sets and costumes, as well as polished soundtrack but rough CGI.
There are other recognisable names on the roster - Korean actor Ahn Sung Kee (Musa) and heart-throb Choi Si Won, Taiwanese former boyband member Nicky Wu and Chinese thespian Wang Zhiwen, all unfortunately playing second and third fiddles to the main man.
The story is set in warring China, when the nation of Zhao is trying to swallow the others by unleashing 30,000 troops on the smaller kingdom of Liang before moving on to Yan.
The Liang king sends an SOS to Mo Jia, a splinter group from the Confucian school known as much for its defensive battle strategies as its philosophy of universal love, peace and helping out anyone in trouble.
A lone saviour appears on the horizon - Ge Li (Lau) - who quickly sets about beefing up defences and winning the hearts of the troops and townsfolk, including a cavalry officer Yi Yue.
The budding love between her and Ge Li, which, at one time, looked set to derail the film's focus, is thankfully kept in check without giving way to sappy operatics.
In between roaring but not overly bloody battle scenes, director Jacob Cheung - whose best work was probably 1992's Cageman - imbues his film with musings about politics and leadership, power and ego, and cause and effect that turn preachy very quicky.
But without which, A Battle of Wits would have been just another witless war extravaganza.
Andy, Choi Si Won, Nicky Wu, Fan Bing2, Qian Xiao Hao, Hong tian Zhao, director Jacob & executive producer Xu Xiao Ming were at Times Square @ Causeway bay for the premiere of ABOW on 20/11. Those in the circle turned up included Soler, Ella Kwan, Li Shan Shan, Ti Long, Tsui Hark & wife, & others.
The actors talked about the theme of the movie 'Not War but love to All'. One of the actors Hong Tian Zhao admitted he does not know the meaning, on seeing this, Andy couldn't control himself, he explained to him in Mandarin, wondering why didn't he know since he acted in the movie? He patiently explained the meaning to him.
At the previous promo @ APM, Andy's fans were forced to the upper floors, this time his fans came early & occupied vantage stops on both sides of the stage, while Choi's fans were forced to behind. Andy won this race. The 2 camps cheered loudly. Andy with his magnanimous demeanor won hearts.
Perhaps he does not wish to see the 2 camps countering one another. He held Choi to the front of his fans & gave a thumb-up to Choi. Choi also politely waved to fans of Andy.
When Qian Xiao Hou shook hand with Choi, he gave a surprise peck on the back of Choi's hand. When he was asked why he kissed Choi's hand later, Qian answered that Choi is so handsome. Was he not worried being called Brokeback? He admitted he likes handsome boys, the media was left not to laugh or cry!
Choi had visited HK wax museum. He had a photo taken with the wax figure of Andy as in I A. He quipped the figure looks very spirited from far, but on closer look it lacks Andy's true handsomeness & suaveness! The reporter praised that he is also v handsome, he quipped, "If u say like that I will die!" He is flying back to Korea today, he hopes to come to HK again & work with Andy.
Andy had received Haken's invitation, & chided that he was the last to be informed. He will be the best man, & had applied the leave. Is he in charge of helping or teasing he groom? He said he will counter the drinking sessions. "Give me all the wine!" As for present he said mysteriously that Haken will be the firs to know.
The cast of ABOW attended the premiere of the movie on the 20th in HK. There were discus throwing & making of wishes. Andy was asked if he has confidence with the box office, he admitted this is a movie of different genre, he hopes the audience can accept, he has confidence. In addition he said he has received invitation card from Haken, as for the gift, he said he is still thinking. As his best man, he told Haken to rest assured, he will be the one to counter any drinking session.
A Battle of Wits had a press conference at Wone Po yesterday. Media from Japan & Taiwan were invited. Andy, Fan Bing2, Choi Si Won, Nicky & director were present. The actors exchanged gifts for a beautiful memory, & gave director a card thanking him in appreciation. A group of children were invited to a water srpaying ceremony with the cast to promote 'Not Attacking but have love to all' spirit, to impart the meaning to the next generation.
At the gift exchange, Andy gave Fan a 2007 note book He teased that Fan always left in a rush after shooting, she would not eat with them. Said, "The note book is for her to remember our birthdays, director & I are both born in the September, Choi in October, I trust what she takes note of is that of Chois !"
Fan Bing2 was forced to deny in defence. Andy added that he always wants to call her, but worried about rumor he dares not , Fan smiles sweetely, "No wonder you have not called me at all!"
Fan Bing2 gave Nicky a jar of coke candy so that he can be more awake during shooting. Nicky tasted one on the spot & said it was sweet. Nicky gave a dictionary to Choi, said, "I know Choi studied Chinese before, this is to let him understand the letters from his fans better."
Choi presented a hot pot to thank Andy, as Andy during shooting treated him to hot pot many times. A pity the pot was not boiling yet but Andy had fished out a cuttlefish ball, he was hesitating to eat or not. He tried to give it to Jacob who was beside him, but Jacob rejected it. Andy had to swallow it himself.
After the press meet Andy rushed to the toilet, the reporter asked if it was the cuttlefish ball was uncooked? He smiled & said he went to pass urine. He quipped, "All the fish balls were cooked (steamed) before hand, the soup was hot." The reporter teased if he was going to give it to the director at first, he admitted, "I thought so too, but after some thoughts again, if I do not go to hell, who would!"
At the interview with Fan Bing2, the reporters asked her if she likes Choi. She denied agitatedly that he is like a small brother to her, said, "Andy is good at jokes. (Are u angry?) No, he is just joking." Why didn't she like to eat with the other actors? She explained she had interviews after shooting. She is most worried that if she was photographed the media may write some crap. She said she had meetings with friends before, the media took it as a meeting with bfs & rumor always stays around her, so from now on she has to be v careful. She had a love rumor with Anthony Wong before, did she invite him to the premiere? She indicated she did not inform him, they still contact one another, she does not know if he is in HK now.
In Andy's interview, he was asked if he noticed Fan Bing2 paid special attention to Choi? He explained it was only a joke. The reporter commented that he seems to pay more attention to Fan, he did not deny, "Of course I pay attention to her, she is the female lead. The emotion between us was v subtle, so needed time to develop."
On Fan's worry about rumor & refusing to eat with male actors, he said, "I eat with the male actors most of the time, & with the set too, the only one who is v hard to invite is her."
Fan happened to pass by then, she asked Andy why did he spread rumor of her with Choi? Andy answered mischievously, "Then I shall tell the reporters that u like me." She immediately replied, "The one I like is you!" On hearing this, Andy quipped happily, "It is only right to like me!"
Regarding Andy sudden 'attack' with a bear-hug, young Fan Bing2 was caught unprepared, she was in shock & almost screamed out, while Wang Zhi Wen gave a understanding smile, ONLY Andy himself was composed & steady.
Andy's media exposure in China is not less, wherever he goes, his supporters not only come in large numbers, their passion is not a day less.
At the Shanghai premiere 2 days ago, just when he went onto the stage, a 'earth-shattering' plot was unraveled in grander. Despite the security guards guarding the stage just like stone lions guarding a gate on both sides, a black shadow had targeted a empty nook, in a step or 2 it lurked up to the stage, suddenly lifted Andy up & turning him in circles.
From the picture, we can see the interesting reactions exhibited by the artistes. The most exaggerated reaction comes from the beauty Fan Bing2, she forgot her image , opening her mouth widely to a big O ( could almost slot in an egg), her face was that of shock. Obviously she was not at all prepared to see such a sight.
Wang Zhi Wen who has more exposure in life, though he was closest to Andy, had his head tilted smiling silly.
Nicky Wu was frowning, as if trying to figure out the cause & effect of the whole event .
The most steady person is non other the person concerned, Andy Lau, while he was lifted to turned circle in the air, he maintained his smile, grace & demeanor. He landed on the stage calmly, looking at the man who was led away by the guards.
The whole event, Andy did not seem to have a tinge of unhappiness. While he is being ascertained by his fans with concrete action that he is still a Super Idol, he too uses his reaction to annotate the meaning of a Super idol !
Together with the cast of ABOW, including Fan Bing2, Choi Si Won & Nicky Wu, Andy was at Kwun Tung APM yesterday for the promotion of the movie, which opens next week.
The activity attracted a thousand over fans & local residents. Most of the fans were supporters of Andy & Choi. Choi fans occupied the ground floor, while Andy's fans occupied mostly the upper floors. They cheered enthusiastically. When told that his fans were at higher floors, Andy quipped that there are 'friends coming from afar' that day, it is in accordance to the theme of the movie of 'Not attacking but love to all' spirit. Andy even praised highly that Choi is a very hardworking & serious worker, he is also v polite, he is one that the newcomers in HK can learn from.
As Andy, Choi, Fan & Nicky walked out in the red carpet to the opposite stage, enthusiastic fans from both sides all wished to shake hands with them, luckily they were all very gentle, & not too aggressive.
The emcee asked the actors on the joy & hardship in the shooting, when it was Chois turn, he indicated he was happy, as he could work with his idol Andy. The emcee pointed out to Andy that he has become a teacher, Andy appearing to be embarrassed, quipped, "I have been a teacher for a long time!" The emcee immediately added, "You are a teacher of substance!" This made Andy laughed heartily.
Few days ago Andy had a bear-hug from a male fan. Looking as if still had hangover of the fear, said, "He hugged me at the thighs & lifted me to turn 2 rounds, the hug was really so tight & I was not able to break free. I had never been hugged so tight before!" His clothes was pulled up. Andy admitted he was hugged by female fans before, but he will not allow any kiss. He feels that fans should have some self control, "I feel that should use the correct method to support the idol, I hope no one will make use of this to promote, even if the security is tight, it is hard to control the situation."
On the male fan who molested Ella & was put to 2 months jail, Andy said, "If after 2 mths he knows how to respect others then it is a good start, otherwise it is difficult!"
On Nov 18, Andy & cast of ABOW were in Shenzhen for a press meet & preview of the movie. At the interview later, it was asked the movie faced with big names such as Behind The Sin, Wearing Golden Armor & others, if they are worried about the box office? Smiling, said Andy, "I am worried, as the director is one who does not like to fight with others, but hope this time we have a better luck."
The movie lasting 2 hrs, when compared to the usual blockbusters China style, ABOW pales in comparison. After watching the movie, the reporters commented it is a movie that differs from the usual which gives little surprises. Some male reporters even indicated the reality of the battle is indeed very oomph in watching.
Andy was undoubtedly the male lead in the conference yesterday. The area is big, fans number was enormously big too. When Andy was asked if he is worried that his popularity pales when compared to the younger actors, he was v humble, "Now it is not about popularity, it is to see what role one plays."
Andy put in a lot of effort in the movie, the scene whereby he was injured when he jumped from the wall was however snipped off by the director. Said, "I feel it is quite a pity, perhaps my acting was not so good in that."
Fan Bing2 role was not present in the original manga, said Fan, "Maybe the director wants to attract some female fans so include this role for an emotional play." She feels that she was one who had a bitter love with Andy.
At the scene, Andy took good care of Fan. When they first entered, he held her hand to let the media took photos. When Fan said that she experienced love & hatred in the role she played, Andy joked with ther, "Then whatever you want now please say so, later I am going back to HK!"
Fan answered, "Then I want to go back to HK with you!"

ABOW was premiered in Beijing & Shanghai to a rousing response in the last 2 days. At the Shanghai premiere, all the 1,100 over seats were snapped up within 1 1/2 day. This phenomenon is seldom seen nowadays in Shanghai. Andy most unexpectedly met a fanatic male fan, who rushed up the stage & lifted him up. The securities were so shocked that the event was almost put to a halt.
Andy was the last to enter at the premiere. When he was on the stage, fans cheered & screamed. All of a sudden, a strong-looking man in suit darted up the stage, lunged himself at Andy. This middle-age man hugged & refused to loosen the grip on Andy. He lifted Andy up, turning him in circles in the air. Andy's clothes were messed up, the fans screamed in fright. Security guards immediately rushed up & pulled the man away. Andy who has seen many big events appeared in shock, he kept patting his chest.
Andy said he has seen many passionate fans all these years in open activities, both male & female fans would rush up the stage to hug or kiss him, or shake hand & take photograph. But lifting him up to twirl him in circles is the first time. He was really shocked. Luckily the securities were able to take him away in time. The security was so angry that they wanted to bash him up, but he indicated to them not to do so. Said, "When I saw him rushing up the stage, I thought the most is he would give me a passionate hug, never thought he lifted me up & refused to let go. I had no time to react, not even pushing him away, really shocked by his passion. Haha. Luckily he is just too passionate & nothing else."
Actually for years Andy often met with passionate fans. But he adopted Mo Zi teaching in 'Not attacking but love to all'. He treated them with respect. Once when the fans were dragged away by the guards for breaking the security, he stopped & escorted the fan down the stage, so as not to let the guards abused the fan. Just like this case, he told the guard not to be rough with him.
Said, "I had seen some fans after rushing up the stage, the guards pulled them by the hair, & was rough, I feel this is bad, they did not do any bad thing, did not harm me, though they are wrong to rush up the stage, but they are human, once excited, they cannot control themselves. I always remind the guards not to be rough to them. I also plead to the fans who love me, not to be too excited, do not rush up the stage , actually I am a v timid person, I will be scared."
ABOW opens on Nov 23. Andy said many audience told him they like the movie, so he has confidence with box office. This is an anti-war movie of another kind, at first he was worried that the youngsters may not understand. But after the premiere in Shanghai, the media told him those 25 & below like the movie v much. He is much consoled.
With the good result in Shanghai, the crew was like having a booster shot, they were v happy. Shanghainese actor Wang Zhi Wen as host, treated them to crabs in celebration.
A big group of fans crowded outside the hotel during the launch of ABOW in Shanghai. The organizer forbid any fan to enter, for security reason. Even the reporters permitted were limited in number.
After the end of the press meet, the actors were arranged in 3 rooms to be interviewed by the media. Just when Andy & Fan Bing2 entered the room & had not even seated, a man with a bouquet of flowers dashed forward suddenly, Andy was shocked by the act, the man introduced himself, "I am not a reporter, I am also an artiste, I like u for 13 years, I hope to communicate with u." Andy smiled embarrassingly, the organizer knew he is but a fan who sneaked in, & told him to leave.
Though told to leave, the man still lingered around outside the door, he even had a tiff with the workers, who dragged him to the lift a the end of the corridor. He shouted , "I hope u remember me, I am an artiste, I hope to work with u one day, I think u look down on me." He was later led out of the hotel!

Shanghai is the 2nd station for the promo of ABOW. Fan Bing2 in a white gown was compatible to Andy's handsome attire.
Fan had stepped on a reporter at the airport recently. When Andy was asked, he said as far as he knows, Fan has a good temper. He is not sure if under that circumstances he would also do the same, added there is a limit for everybody, for as long as others do not go beyond that limit, otherwise no matter how good a temper one has, he or she will get angry. He hopes everyone respects one another & has a thought for the other person.
These 2 days in Beijing & Shanghai were like meetings whereby director & actors show appreciation to one another. Fan Bing2 was the most commended.
Andy said Fan has a good working attitude, she had to swallow the dirty muddy water during shooting of the water cell.
At the ending part Ge Li jumped into the cell & in 3 attempts tried to rescue Fan from the bottom of the cell. Each session lasted 6 to 7 min, the cameras were above the water, Fan had to remain below the water all the time, until she was dragged out. For her safety some workers were with her below the water.
Though there were oxygen tank & tubes, Fan experienced difficulties in breathing often & wished Andy would come early, she lamented the fragility of lives. When she was pulled out, she gasped for air secretly, but this was caught by the camera. Andy teased that she thought no one knew, & blew out a bubble….
ABOW was premiered in Shanghai yesterday. At the press meet, Andy said confidently that this movie will be more popular than any of his previous movies, & said this is the only movie for him this year, hopes everyone can support.
Tickets to the premiere @1,500 yuan each were snapped up within 2 days. Andy said this movie is different from the glamour of House OFD, it is aim at the audience. He has the confidence, said, "Many said we will lose to whichever, but I do not think so, it will be better than my previous ones, I even hope for a sequel!"
On his injury during shooting, he quipped that it is common for the young when they shoot movies. Some said his look was not nice, he feels that it has to suit the movie, it will be a regret if he is type cast to be a triad all the time.
Fan praised that Andy is good at helping her to relax, he imitated others to make her laugh.

TITLE: ANDY WROTE MO GONG FOR ABOW POSTER
[news as reported]
ABOW was launched in Beijing yesterday, it moved to Shanghai this afternoon, where another grand launching activity was held.
Before the launch, the hotel entrance was packed with star-struck fans. Director Jacob, together with leads Andy, Wang Zhi Wen, Fan Bing2, Nicky & Choi Si Won were present. Cameras clicked continuously.
Jacob had omitted certain parts of the movie as it was too long, but being able to accomplish his dreams of many years he is delighted. Though the movie is screened 1 month ahead of the new year, he is not too worried.
The media seemed to center on Andy with the questions. Andy indicated the movie has gone through years of preparation, success or failure now depends on this, he hopes everyone can show support. Comparing to House of F D , he said this movie is more realistic. The director during shooting did not stipulate what actor should do, the actors were given space to exhibit their skill. Comparing Fan Bing2 with Li Bing2, he said each has her own talents, Li Bing2 likes to fight, Fan likes to ride horses, she is like a beautiful warrior.
Compared to Andy & Choi, Fan Bing2 had obviously been snubbed by the media, not much question was directed to her.
The movie is said to open in Korea & Japan in Jan next year.
ABOW was premiered @ New Century in Beijing on Nov 16. A red carpet was laid to welcome the director & actors.
The appearance of the stars drew screams from the fans, Andy had the most number of fans. Choi Si Won fans were present but had not much of a show. Fan Bingbing did not drew much attention when she walked the red carpet.
At the press conference, Jacob was asked the pressure given to him by ABOW. Shaking his head continuously, he said, "I havn't been sleeping well this whole week, either I dreamt that I did not dress well, or I dreamt that the audience response was bad." His worries are not unfounded. After the premiere, the postive & negative appraisal was shockingly divided. One gp said it is not bad, the another group said it was a mess. The numbers in the 2 camps were about the same.
Be it good or bad comments, Jacob is willing to accept.
Many expressed absurdness in having African people in the movie. Another feels the movie does not have a thorough understanding of the Mohist school of thoughts.
On this, Jacob explained the presence of African in the movie is in accordance to reality. He said during the Tang dynasty stone cravings & Dun Huang drawings in ancient China were see Africans. Executive producer added that in No2 Emperor Qin's mausoleum they excavated remains of European skeleton. Jacob said take it as a token to implicate the absurdness of war. He hopes the audience can ask why is this person in Liang city? Perhaps he was a captive in another war, & was brought to China. At this juncture, a reporter quipped that in the original comic book, there was such a character. Jacob agreed that black slaves truly was accordingly to the original story, 'The mouse people'. These people came from Pakistan, like mice they stayed in dimly lit area, & were good in digging tunnels. In ABOW, they do not like the blacks, they look like a mix between Xinjing & European people.
Director: Actually I am not too familiar with Mohism
Jacob appeared to be anxious during the interview, one of his hands was holding onto the table tightly, compared to Wang Zhi Wen who was v animated in his speech. Jacob's has the concept of 'Not attacking, love to all'. Said, "People always look at results, does not care how the result came about. Many people call for peace, but the method use is not right, he feels that this is what he wishes to express, not so much about understanding Mohism.
Ge Li is a fashion figure
In A BOW, the majority of the characters were dressed properly, in accordance to what people have in mind during that era. Andy as Ge Li is the only odd one with outlandish clothes, just like coming from another world. He kept an inch-long hair, had a scarf encircling his neck, he liked to throw a piece of linen on himself as clothes. When he went out of town to pry on the military situation he even use a black cloth to wrap up his head, looking just like a Japanese Ninja.
During that era, the attire was serious, this type of dressing is unacceptable, his forefront dressing comparable to an artist.
On this, Andy was proud of it, he disclosed that the original was even more outlandish. Ge Li is a funny person of another kind, his look definitely has to be different from the others. In the manga, Ge Li did not wear clothes, when he crossed the river he took out all the clothes, & placed them on his head. Liang people felt funny at first, later they all imitated him. Why in the movie there was a restrain then? Pointing to the poster, said Andy, "Becoming like that was because of the weather! It was v cold during shooting! I cant be naked crossing the river!"
Andy: A Regret that I cannot act in Battle of The Red Cliff
At the premiere, fans of the actors were many. Korean actor Choi Si Won is v popular, but he still cannot beat Heavenly Lau.
On the new movie to be shot in Korea next year, The Three Kingdom---Resurrection of the Dragon, he will act Zhao Yun (Zhao Zi Long) he said he is quite similar to Zhao Yun in a way, Zhau Yun quietly contributed to the country, he is quietly contributing to the movie industry. John Woo is shooting Battle of The Red Cliff, it is a pity he is not invited, if possible, he hopes to act as Zhao Yun in the movie.
TITLE: ANDY ADMITTED MOVIE IS PART OF HIS LIFE
At the press conference, Andy was praised as 'National Treasure Heavenly King'. This made him laughed non-stop. "Was it that my black eye-rings have come out? Why do u say as if I am retiring?" He admitted later that in the circle 20 over yrs, acting as career has become a part of his life. "This has made me into a superstar, nowadays in Mandarin speaking places people all know who I am, to me it is a way of showing my gratitude."
When asked if he is worried about taking over by the newcomer? He replied, "I have been asked this many times, I am still not old, I can catch up, now I am promoting new directors & actors, if I am afraid, why am I doing all these?"
Fan Bingbing. Woman is not a vase.
The only female in the cast, her emotional feeling for Andy was the only love in the movie. Many audience feel that her role is purely a vase, there is nearly no function in her role. Fan indicated it is not easy to be an outstanding vase. Said, "Yu Ye was the camp leader of a convoy, there is a need for a middle character. The love in the movie is v subtle." The only scene revealing emotion was Yu Ye taking off her clothes facing Ge Li & expressing her feelings. She thinks the scene was not unnecessary, as it was the one & only way of expressing, she could not miss it.
Nicky admitted he had not watched the whole movie yet. As an actor, he said he hopes the director is happy with his acting. He had said before that he wished to collaborate with Andy, he said the collaboration will be behind the screen mainly, as they are both busy, the details are still under negotiation.
On that day, Nicky had v few fans. Choi Si Won & Fan Bingbing had many fans following. Andy's fan club even stayed put outside the door refusing to leave . Nicky said he is not particular with this, he is v happy to be able to work with so many actors of ability, he wont be bother with this.
Other than acting, singing, commercial activities is one that many stars cannot go without. From increasing rate of the exposure to increasing the cash in the pocket, it can be said killing 2 birds with one stone. The fee paid to the artiste become a yardstick to measure the status, to see which artiste has the highest popularity, we can tell from the commercial deals.......
Andy, Nicky & Fan Bing Bing were in Beijing yesterday for the promo of ABOW. Fan appeared in a cutie look. In Mandarin, said Andy, "This is a movie we had taken a lot of time to shoot, now we can see a lot of people coming to support us, hope our effort can be recognized by all."
TITLE: ANDY EXHIBITED HIS CALLIGRAPHY ON THE SPOT
At the press meet, the host indicated that the 2 words 'Mo Gong' were very well written, it came from the hands of Andy. Said Andy, "One day when I was not working I received a call from director Zhang, he said the 2 words looked aggresive, in the teaching of Mo Zi, there is no aggressiveness, he hopes to make it more elegant . I went home to write, it took me a whole night. In the morning I told someone to send it over, & told him if he felt it was not god, really he need not use it, but if only the word Mo can be used is enough for me!"
The organizer arranged a scroll, wishing the movie success. The produces & cast took turn to autograph on it.
A Battle of Wits, a cross-border collaboration between Japan, China & Korea held a grand premiere this afternoon in Beijing, director Jacob led the cast in attendance.
A strong cast of Andy, Ahn Sung Ki, Wang Zhi Wen, Fan Bingbing, Nicky Wu, Choi Si Won was sure in attracting a big group of fans. Korean actor Choi had the most number of fans, stealing the limelight of the local stars. The fans came early to be at vantage spots. But when the 3 handsome men, Andy, Nicky & Choi were together, it was really hard to tell who is more handsome! Fan Bingbing was seen chatting happily with Wang Zhi Wen .
The poster of Behind The Sin (Injured City) starring Tony Leung & Takeshi Kaneshiro is out, the design uses Hollywood style of having the 2 leads back to back to one another. It makes one feels like looking at the poster of Infernal Affairs, a life & death tussle between Andy & Tony. Not even the crew the same as in IA, including Alan Mak & Andrew Lau, the posters are like 'brothers'. It is the most violent show Tony has ever acted, the company is worried that it may not be approved even with category II.

TITLE: ANDY HOLDING HANDS WITH WEN BI DE
[Sorry, the product Andy endorses is not a car, not a motorbike, but an electric bicycle!]
Mainland audience may not be familiar with the Japanese manga Mo Gong. The comic was actually drawn by Mori Hideki, & narrated a story during The Warring States, when the disciple of Mo Zi, Ge Li, used Mo Zi tactics in defending the city, the book caused a rage in South East Asia for dozen of years. Soon this cartoon made to a movie will be out. Comparing the pot-belly bald-headed Ge Li, Andy who plays the role is obviously much more good-looking. Andy is deeply impressed by the shooting method adopted by Jacob Zhang. From beginning to end, there is not a single scene that needed additions. This is a method used in shooting documentaries.
Other names in the movie included Wang zhi Wen, Ahn Sung Ki, Nicky Wu, Choi Si Won, Fan Bingbing, no wonder it was boldly written on the poster, '23rd Nov, One battle says it all.
Andy has known Jacob for 20 over yrs, & has seen many artistic movies filmed by Jacob. At first Andy thought Jacob would use the usual old way to shoot a war scene, never had he thought Jacob is one who is v particular with the feeling in a movie, "He has a very special way of shooting, that is a scene from the start to end he does not need to add any thing, including the action scenes, in the whole movie, not one is added later!
"This I feel has a strong true feeling, it makes one feels it is a true story, like a documentary, it is v special.
"Jacob has an extremely firm concept, he has his own style, if he thinks his method is correct, for instance when I say I need to make up my look in this part, he will say, 'Don't need, your look is suffice in this place.'....
News from Sina.com dated Nov 14. Andy endorses a local brand of electric motorbike in mainland China. A press meet was held at Fu Hua Hotel @ Shandong Weifang. Andy looked energetic in a leisure outfit. He even stepped onto the bike to demonstrate & explain benefits of the bike.
At the contract signing ceremony, in a check woolen vest matched with leisure grey pants, he was mischievous, not only he posed for photos, he demonstrated riding skill on the spot, indeed v playful. "This is the first time I ride this automatic electric motorbike, I feel good, it saves energy, & is environmental friendly.
"Wah! It feel so mysterious! First time I'm riding it!" Andy was full of excitement, "I rode motorbike, cars, bicycles, but electric one is the first time, really save my energy, it is also v light, the speed is faster than I thought!" Like a curious kid, he looked at all the parts of the bike, "Not bad, really not bad, not as heavy as the motorbike, not as slow as the bicycle."
Be it in Forever & Ever or Needing You, Andy in speeding motorbike has become a classic , his characteristic style is etched in memories of all. Now that he rides a bike again, he is still looking so dashing & natural.
A Battle of Wits opens on Nov 23. Andy acted as Ge Li while Wang Zhi Wen as Emperor Liang.
Before the powerful Zhao Kingdom could attack Yan Kingdom, it had to take down the samll country of Liang country, who was situated in between Zhao & Yan. Zhao army general led a troop of 100,000 to attack Liang which had only 4,000 civilians including woman & children. Emperor Liang sought help from Mo disciple who insisted on defending the city. Andy as Ge Li assisted him in protecting the city, leading the citizens to fight with the enemy using special weapons. They fought a battle countering 2,000 Zhao soldiers, Zhao army was forced to retreat.
The writer discovered a mainland website YoQoo.com carrying a video clip titled 'The classic fun of Andy in movie making'. Someone had made use of Andy's investment in movies to create jokes. The clip is a make-up comical story with segments taken from Infernal Affairs, God of Gamblers, King of Comedy acted by Stephen Chow & Jacky Chan, re-dubbed & re edited.
At the start, Andy received a call telling him Jacky Chan had reached the office, he said, "Jacky has come? Let him has audition first, make sure he is so old that he can't even move!" Next the camera turned to Jacky feigning death at the audition. Stephen Chow who was beside him knew that Jacky was going to take part in Andy's new movie, called Andy to include him, saying that as long as he has a chance to showcase his skill, he has no qualms playing a supportive role. Finally he grabbed the role from Anthony Wong, he was v happy to have $50 as fee. Stephen even actively made a poster showing the 5 of them, Tony Leung, Chow Yun Fat, Jacky Chan, Andy & himself, & wrote on it, '5 Super Stars joined hand in acting'
Later, Andy sought Tony to act, but Tony declined wanted to introduce Chow Yun Fat. Andy had to make Chow played a negative role, Chow however asked for a fee of $500,000, thousand of miles apart from that of Stephen Chow's. This makes Andy vexed! Just when Andy not knwoing what to do, Leon Lai came to Andy, hoping to act in the new movie! But Andy said coldly, "I feel that you are far away from being a Best Actor!"
After watching the clip, the writer feels that be it in edition, storyline, & dialogue , they are very well done, really respect the skill! Just that for nothing Andy is being made fun of, the actors were all taking in Mandarin, a little not in line!

TITLE: ANDY TOP 3 OF CEO SELECT
RTHK first station Happiness Daily, recently held a survey on the happiness index of Hongkongers in 2006. The result shows that one of the top who can make Hong Kong people feel happiest is Andy, No.3 in position. The Chief Executive who can make Hong Kong people most happy, accordingly to the HK City University investigation report, No 1 is Donald Tsang, no.2 is Anson Chan, while No 3 is Andy Lau. Eric Tsang is No 5.
The qualities that go to make HK people happy are: have thoughts for the people, leadership quality, pro democracy, change the livelihood of the people, uphold justice, knowledge on politics, keep to his promises.
At a phone interview, Andy who is busy with ABOW promo, said, "I feel strange at the report, I am not the right candidate for CE, the citizens voted for me, perhaps they feel happy on seeing me. I do not have the ability to be a C E, Eric & Carol Cheng are more suitable, the former has ideas, the latter has influential power!" When asked on the secret to happiness, said Andy, "The world will not change for me alone, I want to find my direction back the most, I hope everyone can be as happy as me."
This morning Andy was in Shandong Weifang Fu Hua International Convention center for a contract signing with Bi De Wen. The latter held a grand press meet to sign Andy as endorser of its products. The activity was chaired by the famous host Li Xia. Media from around the country attended, many of Andys fans were drawn to the scene.
The writer has always seen a fat boy online who always make himself into the character in the movie on the posters. In a recent sohu blog, the writer saw in his 'Online Fatty Mischief on the Stars Collection', he pasted his face on several posters, including making himself as Stephen Chow in Kung Fu Hustle, Huang Xiao Ming in The Condor Heroes, Orlando Bloom in LOTR, Andy in Yesterday Once More, etc. It was v funny.
He is actually a 19 yr-old Shanghainese, has become popular on the net. Once his funny face while walking on the street looking backwards was filmed secretly & made into even funnier, his name traveled far & wide, endless stream of the media waiting to interview him, including Jacky Wu in TW invited him to his TV prg!

TITLE: KEN NOT AFRAID TO FILM ANDY
Ken Cheng was at a promotional press meet for a new ATV TV serial yesterday. He acted as a blind swordsman in it. He disclosed that he will act in a movie directed by Ye Wei Xin later, & also Andy has sought him to direct in new movie. He asked Andy if he is afraid to ask him to direct. Andy however turned around to ask Ken id he is afraid to shoot for him. Until now, he intends to use Richie Ren & Cherie Young, date temporarily set after the new year. But Andy will have time only in Jne & July next year, not sure if he can wait till then.
Choi Si Won at a recent media interview in HK admitted he had quite a lot of pressure shooting ABOW, this is the first time he is on a big screen. Luckily he has help from Andy & Ahn Sung Ki. He likes the original manga a lot, he accepted the offer readily when the script was shown to him.
To act as the Prince Liang who was good in martial art & archery, his basic training in Tae Kwon Do helped a lot.
There was a scene when he had to use the real knife, he almost had his finger sliced off. During shooting archery competition with Nicky Wu, he collapsed to the ground due to exhaustion. Luckily Andy was there & held onto him. "He saved my life, otherwise I would roll down the slope, he even gave me a bar of chocolates to replenish my energy."
Choi said, "In Korea, we always believe if there is injury, the movie will be successful, I'm hopeful that the movie will do well."
SOURCE: CHONGQIN WAN BAO
Jordan Chan was in Chong Qing for a concert yesterday. In a heavily Cantonese accented Mandarin, he was v humble, he claimed that he is not as handsome as Huang Xiao Ming, not as wealthy as Andy Lau, & called HK a small fishing village.
Jordan is already a big star in the eyes of many, he may be popular but he is not so handsome. Never thought he was so frank. He claimed that as artiste one is v passive. He has to film what the boss wants him to, since he is in the showbiz he is cast as hip hop & a bad person. Does he hope to shoot a beautiful love story, creating a pristine image for himself? He smiled helplessly, "Which angle do I look pristine?" He quipped the most important thing is he is not Andy Lau, "If I am Andy Lau, it will be wonderful. Then I will shoot movies like Crazy Stone, but I am not." At the end, he never forgot to add, "To be Andy Lau is my target." Openly revealing the worship he has for Andy!........
The special effect in A Battle of Wits cannot be ignored. In order to cut down the cost, to make 10,000 looking like 100,000, & prevent injuries of the actors, special effect is needed, yet you do not feel it being used. This is the first requirement in ABOW.
This movie is a real story, sky lights, water flooding the city, hazy smoke, swords, tens of thousands of horses, the city submerged in water, snowy mountain behind the city may not be present 2000 years ago. The director wishes the audience not to discover it is due to computer generated effect (CGE), he hopes to put in front of the audience's eyes a city 2,000 years ago, so they do not feel it is a movie, it feels like they are at the scene, CGE has to be realistic.
CGE is made in HK, after production development is done in Japan. The company while shooting the scene, indicated at every part where CGE is needed. They have a special form to indicate the segment. It took them 1 year 4 month. The artiste first presented the director a plan, when the director agrees then they go ahead. Lighting artiste will come in later, to see which part need to be coordinated.
In costume, 100,000 army attacking 4,000, how to provide the same costume is a headache. Also, the costumes have to look tattered in the battle, so preparation is a big job. Zhao army uses a deep color, giving a pressurizing feel. Liang city uses earthy yellow color, the farmers costumes are very ordinary.
Even the only female in the movie, the color is dull. The costumes can be said to follow history closely, looking as realistic as possible.
The make in ABOW is a realistic presentation, the color used is closed to earth, showing monotony. In the short 2 over hours, one has to look at the acting & not the outstanding make up.
In art, ABOW has to create a way 2000 years ago, the making of war vehicles, weapons & other equipments need special attention. A city with 4,000 officials & civilians & one & only impressive water cell, have really etched a deep impression of the movie set in the Warring period!
Anita Yuan was due at month end, but yesterday the baby showed sign of birth, Anita under went caesarean section & delivered a healthy bouncy baby boy weighing 8 lb. Chilam accompanied her to the delivery suit. Both of them are extremely delighted as first time parents….
Peter Chen is shooting the remake of Blood Brothers, which is a Chang Cheh classic starring David Jiang, Ti Long , Chen Guan Tai & Jin Li. The males have been confirmed to be Jet Li, Andy & Takashi Kenoshiro. It was rumored Zhang Ziyi will play the female lead. According to sources she will not be able to act in it, as her schedule is full, she is shooting Shanghai ,The Riders & other Hollywood movies. The reason is not because the 3 male leads have no interest to work with her.
Shooting will begin at the end of the month, the female lead is yet to be confirmed.
Organized by HK Art Development bureau, 'Body Movies in HK', a world-class outdoor media art display had an opening ceremony 2 nights ago @ Tsim Sha Tsui Walk of Fame. The event will last till 19 Nov. Body Movies is actually projection of images of the participants onto a screen, to overlap with other images, thus creating different visual effects. Andy, Johnnie To & Civil administration affairs office bureau chief He Zhi Ping were present. Andy & He demonstrated by shaking hands, throwing their images onto the screen.
Later Andy pretended to kiss a small girl, the shadow was also cast on the screen. He was so engrossed that he played The Big Guy & used hands to make figures of animals.
Johnnie To indicated such interactive media art can be used in a lot of ways, it is commonly seen in countries in Europe. Andy said at the shopping mall in France, there are many such types of image projections, to promote products. He has also seen such type of performances, he hopes it can become more common in HK. During concert there is no need to employ foreigners to perform the skill. He had specially rented the equipment from Korea before in his concert to show the water fall scene.
Said, "If I can afford, & the govt allows me to hold 20 or more concerts, I can try more new things. If it is only 10 shows then I have to be more thrifty. (Will you try to do a naked body image projection?) Why not? It is an art, can try! But I know it is pricy. This effect of course will be used, the most is I use a stand-in. (You can do it yourself!) I am so fat!"
He had once seen a show overseas whereby a dancer in a black veil perform a striptease show, she removed the bra at the end. The idea is bold but actually she did not not do it. He had suggested to do it at TVB anniversary show, but the coordination of lights must be perfect first.
