Andy Lau Wonderful World Concert 2007 has added one more show, the 16th, on Jan 5.

Public ticket sale opened yesterday. Due to the heat wave in ticket snatching, fans began lining up day & night at the ticketing booth 2 days ago. Stools were seen scattered around.

Andy¡¯s spokesman revealed that 480 & 300 tickets were gone in a minute, while the other categories were sold out within half an hour.

Said, "Andy is both happy & shocked, though he wishes to add more shows, really this is not possible! "

Any artiste who has experience in acting knows how to do, but to get one like Andy Lau who is so daring risking own life is rare.

Last Saturday (Oct 27) Andy had 2 nights of concert in Shanghai. As cowherd, he was on a wire & suspended in midair. After a series of performances, his leg was caught by the wire, & was hung in the air, neither could he come down or go up.

How to complete the show?

Mr Lau, however, was not at all panic, steadily did a few ¡®self-turning maneuvers, shaking & turning, finally successfully releasing himself from the catch, in a ¡®upside-down onion¡¯ pose he landed beautifully on the stage. Those who were not aware, all clapped till the hands sore.

The poor crew at the backstage witnessed every step in fear.

But Andy has no fear, in the following segment, suddenly turned high spirited, at the tall stage, under no safety precautions, he threw half of his body out, both hands holding onto the railing, while both feet hooked onto the tall stage for support. Truly, he put in all in the performance. The crew all had a frightening night. Later they forbid him from doing dangerous stunts. Sure, should anything happens, who can afford to pay!

Andy Lau Wonderful Concert 2007 will he held at the end of Dec in HK. The response to tickets sale to all the 15 shows is extremely hot. Booking at the internal sale exceeded the availability, at the public sale all the tickets were snapped up fast.

At this last leg of the concert, fans were very passionate from the start. During encore when Andy sang fast numbers & was engrossed in hot dance, everyone surged forward to the front of the stage.

One of the male fan suddenly broke through the security barrier, darted to the edge of the stage to shake hand with Andy & present him with a bouquet of flowers.

The police & security guards on seeing this, immediately took action & sprang on him, dragging him away. Andy on seeing the fan was surrounded by 10 over guards & being attacked, he continued calling them to stop & not to be rough to the fan from the stage,

Then in a desperate move he jumped down the 7-feet high stage, rushed forward to protect the fan. The scene immediately came to a chaos, all the staff & security rushed to the side of the stage to protect Andy, finally Andy even refused to continue with singing, he personally escorted the fan back to the seat, & reminded the police not to be violent with him, before he went back to the stage to continue with the performance.

Trust in the history singer who jumps down the stage to rescue the fan, such a courageous act, is only ANDY LAU.

Back to the stage, the audience screamed incessantly, taking him like a hero, yelling I Love U frantically to him. Everyone can see after jumping from such a height, he could still continue with dancing & singing, knew that he was unhurt & heaved a sigh of relief.

On the stage, said Andy, "I know the security guards, police, all of meant good to me, I am sorry I have let you all worry, everything is fine with me, I am very well!"

Then he reprimanded the fans, "There are rules to the concert, no matter how passionate you are, you have to remember the importance of safety, really don't fool around, & do not break the rules, you love me, support me, I know, if you want to contact me, it is easy, join fan club, we can always meet! Do not use this unsafe method, & make me worry, & let the security job tough."

After the concert, Andy commented concert is meant to be a happy event, because of this his mood is affected.

Said, "When I saw the fan was beaten up & pushed around, dragged & pinned to the side of the stage, I 'urgently' called them to stop, but they could not hear me, in a rash I jump down. This is the mistake of the fan! He should not do this, but he is showing support to me, I was worried he would be punished by the police, thus I jumped down to make them excuse him this time."

He understands his action has made a lot of fans worried, & gave a shock to all his staff, he felt sorry, on thinking back it indeed was quite dangerous, luckily he is agile & was not hurt.

"I have just promised my fan that I wont do dangerous act, never thought during encore came such a tough life show, it shocked 60,000 people, really sorry about it."

ANDY KNELT TO THANK THE FANS SANG IN A CHORUS WITH 40,000 PEOPLE

This concert performance created many firsts in Chengdu history of concerts.

TAKESHI IMMERSED FULLY IN SHOOTING OF THE WARLORDS AFRAID TO INJURE JET LI

In 2005 Harbor City worked with Peter Chan in the movie Perhaps Love & struck an unprecedented success, this year Harbor City is again collaborating with Peter Chan's Xmas big project, The Warlords. This will be the first publicity activity for the movie in HK.

It is the second time for the light up ceremony @ the Harbor City for Andy, since after he rode a horse to the light up in 2005.

On the last day before departure from Shanghai, we went to Shanghai Wild Life park, which is 25 km from the airport, a huge area where wild animals roam about freely in separate enclosures

Andy, the ambassador of the Paralympics, met them during an activity to welcome the Olympics.

Zhai lost a leg at the age of 4 while Mary lost an arm at the age of 19 in road traffic accidents. In April this year they participated in CCTV dance competition, their dance skill shocked the country.

After watching their performances, Andy was touched by their passion for life & determination, he thus invited them to participate in his concert in B J, as dancers for the song The Dream I Am After & I.

Mary & Zhai are not familiar with the multiple traps on the stage & the settings, Andy explained to them patiently. He instructs the producer to elevate the stage during their performance, so that the audience can focus on their performance.

Andy was caught in a chilly Harbin earlier, this time in BJ he again met with cold weather, the temp drops to almost zero degree, Andy, clads in thick clothing, scarf, warm hats is still shivering, he is worried, "Looks like it is colder than Harbin, what am I to do ?"

But Mary & Zhai came in thin dance costumes for the rehearsal, Andy kept asking if they are cold, he even tied the shoe lace for Mary.

Both of them replied that they are not cold, as they are used to it. Andy sighs he cannot compare to them & shows his respect. "On seeing them, I am not afraid of cold anymore, I hope everyone in the world supports them so they can continue dancing, their lives are brilliant. Andy said he has read their life stories online, the most impressive part is what Zhai told his father,

said Andy, "After he lost his leg, his father told him he will meet with a lot of hardships & setbacks in life, at age 4 he was innocent, he asked his father, 'Are setbacks & hardship nice to eat?' His father answered, 'Nice, but you must eat it one by one.' He has since then eat them one by one till today!"

Hardship & setbacks are delicious, but must eat one by one, Andy admitted this phrase lets him learns a lot, being able to enjoy hardship, savors setbacks is the higher philosophy of life.

During the Shanghai concert, Andy was hung in midair due to glithes with wire, Eason teased that because Andy flew from one place to another so much, he was still flying in the air 2 nights ago in Shanghai!

Andy said he had wanted to come teased that when the moment he hugged Eason, he felt like pushing him away! Eason wishes Andy success at his concerts.

According to sources, the organizer had booked 2 floors in a luxurious hotel one month ago for their lodging.

On arrival, Andy & staff were ferried to the hotel in 2 commercial vans & a nanny car. The staff disclosed that Andy will not get out of the hotel, all his activities will be confined to within the hotel.

At the celebration dinner, a happy Andy continued to unveil the romantic stories of Miu & the embarrassing things about Felix.

Andy is currently staging his Wonderful World Tour concerts in China. On Saturday, it was his 13th concert and twice there were dangerous situations. One, when Andy was hung upside down in mid-air as Cowherd his legs were entangled with the ropes. Another incident, when he was dancing near the edge, he almost lost his balance and nearly fell off the 12m stage. Andy who had already bought insurance was lucky! He need not use the insurance as he wasnft hurt in both occasions.

Andy performed in front of 80,000 viewers in Shanghai. At the start, he expressed that he was very excited as this was his first time performing in front of so many fans. Previously, the biggest crowd he had ever entertained was 70,000. Then he requested that all present to scream, cheer and applause, so he could feel that overwhelming response & power. Perhaps Andy was over excited during his performance, he almost had 2 mishaps. When he was dressed as Cowherd and hung up 20m, while dancing with his partner, both legs were entangled with the ropes. However, Andy was very quick to spin around a few times to un-entangle. himself. He even stiked a pose and only lowered himself down after catching his balance.

Andy had actually took a relaxing holidays earlier on, for 3 days in a row he was out to the sea, enjoying life, in his blog he posted pictures of himself swimming in the sea. But the pictures show that his face was rather pale, different from the tanned skin on the body. There is a picture of him bobbing in the sea, he said he is reminiscing his childhood days, during which he played many things, no wonder the pictures gave a youthful feel.

Peter indicated he faced much difficulities in getting Takeshi to act in the movie, as Takeshi is used to act play melancholic & introvert roles, & thinks such heroic role is distant to him, he did not agree readily. It was only after much invitation & liberation that he gave the nod.

Takashi quipped that since he had accepted the role, he worked hard to do his homework well, he went against his manager’s objection to have his hair shaved to mold the look. Luckily his final appearance is as suave, the managerial company was relieved.

At the latest official screen pictures released, Takeshi's look is indeed different from before, it gives people a refreshing feel, trust this is the first time since he started acting to look like that.

ANDY LAU IS NOT LOSING MONEY WITH MOVIE INVESTMENT

Everyone is still talking about Lust Caution, even though the movie has been out close to a month. This is because no other movie screened at this time can surpass it, 26 days after it opened on Oct 21, total day collection in 42 cinemas still hit 728,800, even stronger than movies opened just a week. Total collection now stands at 35 million over, it is easy to cross 40 million if the number of screens remains the same.

Single day box office champion is Brothers.

The first day, last Thursday, it grossed 1.06 million, after that daily collection is more than a million, Sunday alone it collected 1.22 million, in 4 days it totals 5.47 million, screened in 35 cinemas.

Andy estimated the movie collection will hit 8 to 10 million, perhaps he is more conservative.

The storyline is somewhat old, other than the 4 Tigers Eason is included, it has not generated much topics.

Andy has invested in many movies, those losing money are quite a number, he indicated during the premiere of Brothers that overseas sale has already balance his production cost, so this movie will definitely not be losing money.

Why is it that everyone is saying it is hard to invest in movies? This movie in HK is making money even with just 8 to 10 million collection, the only reason being Andy does not include his own fee.

Brothers is a mid-range investment, other than Andy Lau. An average investment plus an Andy Lau’s fee will become a big project.

It is said his fee is at 12 million or more. Movie Production foundation limits that mid-range investment to be at 12 million, if Andy includes his fee, than this movie is a blockbuster.

Andy does not take his fee, with him in the movie, of course it is easy to sell. What he earns, minus other expenses, he has the movie permanent royalty.

Will collection from permanent royalty balance his fee, it is hard to tell.

The author still prefers him to invest in new directors with small budget, as the themes are fresh, & can cultivate new directors.

At the press meet yesterday, an animated footage of an astronaut landing on the planet earth was used at the opening. In a space suit, Andy walked out of Chong Hua spacecraft, looking imposing indeed. It means that Andy has returned from his concert tour in China & is back to HK.

Andy described he is feeling uneasy, as there are 'no tickets'.

Smiling, said, "Because of tickets I had turned tables with my father, & cannot stay with him, I hope people will not scold me in public, some fans told me since there are no tickets for them, what is the use of joining the fan club? I too hope I can take my father’s tickets to give to all, actually my father thought he can have all the tickets, not knowing the tickets have to go through me first! Haha!"

Andy explained later that it is only a joke to say that he is scolded by his fans, but really there are no more tickets, the demand exceeded by one fold, if the government approves another 10 shows is the best, we are considering the possibility of adding shows before we announce, if there are shows added, more tickets will be given to members of the fans club.

Andy disclosed that his costumes will be all brand new in the HK concert, 80% of the show will be reformated, it will bring all to a science fic fantasy world.

The 12 shows in China have set some records, he experienced extreme cold & heat. He has specially trained his stamina, he runs & trains to endure the extreme temperatures. The many concerts in China, with 30 m wide stage, he has walked hundreds over times, from temp of 30 deg to minus zero, he trust he can be the first astronaut of HK.

He added there is a danger in wearing the spacesuit, as it breaks easily if movement is too vigorous.

For this concert, Andy is not as thin as previously, now he does not take carb after 7 pm, to keep his voice, he has taken close to $100,000 worth of 'voice-opening tea'. Each dose costs 6,000 & he has taken it for close to 8 to 10 yrs. There are codyceps in it, really good, it keeps his voice well, other than voice it gives good health.
