ANDY CRITICIZED TVB FOR IMMEDIATE RETRENCHMENT

All the singers under East Asia had a sudden no show at the press con of RTHK Gold Songs awards day before yesterday, this stirred up the speculation of Denise Ho being on bad terms with RTHK.

Yesterday, as a singer from East Asia, Andy attended Mc Donald World Children Day activity, he disclosed that the chance of him attending RTHK music awards is not high this year, he hopes the ceremony does not give awards to only those who attend & none to those who are absent, it should understand the living condition of the present day singers.

Andy was guest to the children marathon yesterday, he had warming up session with the children, & appeared happy.

On the East Asia singers boycotting RTHK, he indicated he has just been back from BJ, he does not know about this, but his managerial company had called him, he had asked his company, his answer is the same for the reporters, there is no such a thing.

Will he attend the award ceremony this year?

Said, "Every year I am not sure if I can go or not, I have filming this year, the chance is not great in my attending. Last year I did not go because of my concerts, but last yr I had not joined East Asia yet so it had nothing to do with this."

Are the award ceremonies changing in value? He pointed out that he had always handled his won album, he had not joined any record companies for years, so he does not know the current state of award regulations, but he feels that present day singers have tight schedules, many times they have to be out of HK working, & unable to attend, he hopes the stations will not use attendance to decide the awards.

Said, "Many times we have to go outstation to work, may even miss many of the seasonal selections, if there is no song at the seasonal selection, there is no chance for the year end final awards. If I don't even have a gold song, yet I am given an award, they will write on this, I too will feel ashamed."

He hopes the stations show more support to singers.

Other than this boycott incidence, Gold Medal had also boycotted Metro Broadcast.

Andy feels that Gold Medal boycotting Metro station is not because of awards. Said, "I think not because of awards, Metro station is good in giving them many awards. Ever station should follow the same direction in giving awards, but I am not sure what actually happened." It was said TVB retrenched 200 workers, Andy feels this act is due to the poor market situation, but he is against a big organization like TVB retrenching workers, as with the current situation, the retrenched workers have no where to go, unless the loss is really great in the economic tsunami, otherwise they should not have retrenched workers at a time like this.

ANDY SAID EAST ASIA DID NOT BOYCOTT RTHK

2 nights ago Andy returned to HK from BJ. As the 'star guardian', together with his 2 sons, Andox & Box, they attended Love Children Marathon activity.

His presence was a big welcome to those present, young or old. All wanted to shake hand with him. Andy, Andox & Box together with some children had a warming up session on the stage.

He was accidentally 'jolted' when he leapt from a height during filming in BJ, he experienced some pain at the warming up, but he will visit a dr after the activity.

Andy said the chance of him attending TVB music awards is bigger.. & teased that the more the awards the bigger the chance...

TANG YI FEI ACTED AS THE SEXY VILLAIN BECAME A 'BIG S'

At the media visit, director Wang Jing, action director Chen Xiao Dong, leads Andy, Fang Bing2, Tang Yi Fei, Xu Qiao & others were present. Other than the child actor the rest were all in their screen looks.

Their screen looks were stunning, be it head of futuristic cop Andy or the head of villain group, it makes one fantasies what the future is like.

Tang Yi Fei as the villain wins the lime light, her black body-hugging leather attire made her S-shaped body stands out prominently.

The workers teased her, "Though Big S is not here, we still have an S."

Her half exposed bobs is hot & makes her center of attraction. Not sure if Andy will get distracted when he fights with this hot babe in future?

At the visit, the reporter could only see Andy & Fang Bing2 acting. The parts by Tang Yi Fei are all fighting scenes. At the interview she was missing, as she has to get ready first, such as be on wire, as her parts all involve fighting, but she has no shooting that day. The worker quipped that fighting between Andy & Tang will be most exciting in the whole movie. They fought from 2130 to 2060, it is an important link to the beginning & ending of movie.

FUTURE COPS FILMING IN BJ
THE COSTUME BREAKS EASILY, SAID ANDY

Andy, Fang Bing2 & other actors were dressed in police futuristic uniform that day, the back & grey uniform gave a metallic feel, all the actors said the costumes look cool & nice, but being too tightly fit gives some inconvenience.

Said Andy, "It look suave, but after wearing it just now, it broke. So yet to see how the action director choreograph the actions, hope the costume will not break again."

On Nov 26, for the first time, media was invited to view the location shooting of Future Cops . The futuristic scene built in a movie studio in Huai Rou BJ was exposed. Mainland beauty Liu Yang was the 2nd lead to be in the studio after Big S.

The reporter got to know that one of Wang Jing's girls will be shooting opposite Andy around 8am. Indeed she set off to the studio at 5 am, & reached the studio around 8am.

The scene being filmed yesterday was on the opening ceremony of an exhibition on the relics from Tang Dynasty. At the ceremony, a group of bad guys planned to kidnap a renowned scientist, Professor Ma. Andy (who was the futuristic cop male captain) & Fang Bing2 (wife of Andy, Captain of the lady cops) led new-age cops to protect him. A battle of good verses evil ensued.

Liu Yang is the newcomer strongly promoted by Wang Jing, she had worked with several HK actors & was picked by Zhang Yimou & Stephen Chou before. She & Xu Qiao are 2 actresses to be stressed this time. The collaboration with Andy gives her big opportunity. In the movie she P K Big S, when asked if she has feelings for Andy in the movie, she said it is to be seen when the movie opens.

In this movie, Andy is surrounded by beauties. He has a futuristic beautiful wife Fang Bing2, a lady confidante Big S, even his asst is played by beauty Liu Yang. When asked which one he likes the most, in his usual humor, he jested, "Of course I like them all, hope they can be my gf."

At the location, Andy was courteous to the reporters. In the futuristic look he acted with Liu Yang at a high stage, he was not at all lax, his seriousness with work won praise of many present.

On Liu Yang, Andy said this is the first time he met her, when heard that she was nervous shooting opposite Andy, Andy said when he acts with beautiful lady, he too is nervous.

Yesterday afternoon Andy had a scene with Liu Yang at the start, not only they fought at a giant futuristic machine, they had to pose in various positions at the high stage, including trying the use of weapons & planed rescue procedures.

The reporter saw many big weapons at the scene, including big vehicles, said to be able to come out from the earth, below the stage were many relics, such as head of Buddha.

Wang Jing disclosed that to create a world of the future, many special computer generated effects will be used. The vehicle used by Andy & his staff will be eye-catching. The CGE is said to be 900 times, possibly one with the most number of this special effects.

When asked to compare with Hollywood movies, Wang Jing said Eastern futuristic movies will show more of human side.

Andy too indicated shooting skill of many Asian movies are now on par with Western movies , the standard of this movie will not be poorer than Hollywood movies.

Andy was filming Future Cops with Fan Bing Bing in BJ the other day, his look as a policeman in 2065 was exposed. It was said close to a million is used to create the look, really very expensive! But to Feng Ren Chao (the author) his costume looks like a diver, the material used to tailor the costume indeed is same as that used for the diver! As the weather is cold in BJ, the suit can keep him warm, both he & Fang will not be chilled! Andy & Shu Qi were interviewed by a magazine recently to promote the new movie by Andrew Lau. As they were lovers in the movie they filmed a series of intimate photos.

ANDY GAINS CONFIDENCE BY WORKING HARD

Looking For A Star, a movie directed by Andrew Lau, starring Andy Lau, Shu Qi has just completed filming. In it, Andy was a rich bachelor in the city & was in a love affair with the casino lady. Recently both of them graced the cover of Men's Uno magazine. They talked on the filming process.

Andy who acted as a gambler in the movie said that he believes in luck, as hard work alone is not enough to have dreams materialized. "Just as that year when I switched from TV station to the big screen, at the end I was put on the shelf! I then diligently practice singing, even went to my own salon to help out, all these things were beyond my imagination, but on thinking back, for as long as I am not calculative, things will work out the way it would, I gained experience enexpectedly."

He said by not calculative does not mean he is giving up, he understands his aim, "It is always said one has to win over oneself, this is what I agree most."

Shu Qi said she enjoys the filming process, "This role is quite similar to my state of mind, I enjoy serenity & steadfastness. This does not mean taking work or dreams lightly, but to understand what you should pursue, then you can have a peaceful state of mind, seeing how time passes is not a bad thing this way!"....

Cape No 7 has brought life to the movie industry in Taiwan, Taiwanese movie dealer Xie Zhe Co set aside a huge sum to film a movie, Future Cops, with Andy Lau & Big S as leads, & 2 Taiwanese actors of character Mike He Jun Xiang & Dylan Guo PinChao playing supporting roles. Big names in the industry were roped in to be included in the the crew behind the screen, together with director Wang Jing & action director Ching Siu Tung in the making of this 09 blockbuster for Xmas 09.

The set is currently filming in Hui Jou Beijing shooting an exciting action scene of Andy rescuing a child courageously at the Ferris wheel of an amusement park.

Andy acted as a cop who accidentally went back to the past. He possesses immerse power, during shooting he exhibited this extraordinary ability, with one hand he lifted one cubicle of the Ferris wheel, & flew to the air. The crew used a crane & ten over workers to pull wire to complete shooting.

It was a big exercise, many onlookers came to see the filing, when they spotted Andy a commotion was created. The workers in order to pacify them had to lie that it was only a double. Accordingly, there was indeed a stuntman present to play the highly dangerous part.

ANDY WAS TRANSFORMED TO A SUPERMAN LIFTED UP A FERRIES WHEEL CUBICLE

… Andy in chasing the criminal ended up in an amusement park. The convict threw the seat of the Ferries wheel from a height, to rescue others in the park, with one hand he supported the cage. After that he was hoisted by wire to 10-over m high, both hands crossed in front of the chest, looking just like a superman.

Coming back to the past 2010 from 2080 he chased after an international criminal together with Big S.

...special effect team from The Dark Knight was roped in to create the special effects. There is a plan to go Dubai for location shoot.

East Asia Capital Artiste show will be held from Dec 13 to 15 @ Asia World Expo. Singers originated from Capital Artiste have all become A list singers today. It is said the signers other than singing own songs will sing classics of Anita Mui & Leslie Cheung. The organizer intends to invite Tony Leung to sing a song.

From the record it was found that Andy was the first to sing ..., a song made popular by Leslie. After Andy had finished recording this song with TVB & meant to be released by Capital, he was put on the shelf.

The song ended in Leslie's hand. The copy sung by Andy was still kept with Capital, those who had heard it said his singing resembles that of Leslie’s. The producer had requested Andy to assume the look of Leslie with a bun on the head as in Love On A Dance, Andy however is still considering, he only performs at the last show on Dec 15.

ANDY RECOMMENDED HE HIMSELF FOR IDOL TV SERIAL

2 nights ago Andy, Eason, Joey & Hard Soft were at Wan Chai Exhibition Hall performing @ the Mc Donald's World Children Day 2008 musical, hosted by Commercial Radio.

Andy & his 2 sons Andox & Box kicked off the show. The mischievous duo sang, danced, & even showed off skill with spears, they stole the limelight from Andy.

At the interview, Andy said he does not mind they stole the show, said, "I don't mind, actually there are many advertisers seeking to work with them, but their characters have not been mould, I am not sure how much fee to ask, such as this, it is for charity I do not ask for a fee."

Not only is Andy planning to be the father of the 2 sons as stars, he hopes to be Best Actor of the small screen. Coming from the movie circle, he has been named Best Actor & Most Popular Singer many times, but is yet to be one on TV serials.

Smiling, said, "I support Xia Yu as Best Actor, guess he is extremely happy, I have thought of filming TV serials, best is an idol genre, but I am most worried I will play the role of a father." He has not officially discussed with anyone on this matter, his fee will be v expensive. Is he keen to win Best TV Actor award? He replied, "I won't ask for so much, not because of awards I film, but for the money."

Last Thursday Andy for the third time hosted Xmas light-up for Harbor City. Denise Ho was with him this year.

When Andy & Denise were having photo taken, the workers gave them 2 clocks. Andy immediately turned & asked the workers if they wanted some more photo-taking.

After a lapse of 6 yrs, Heavenly Lau is back! First time staging concert at the Small Giant Egg, amidst flowing big flags, he appeared singing the song, Chinese. He then took off his warrior vest, wearing only a pair of white lumber-jack pants, with his chest, abdominal muscles exposed, the response from the thousands of fans was ecstatic, he admitted that he was worried about the ticket sale at first, but on seeing the tickets got sold out swiftly, he quipped, "Now I know I am still a big star!"

Not to be outdone by Jay Chou, he too showcased his skill in magic, asked, "Should an idol has gf? Must he get married?" Tempting everyone to suspect he is going to reveal his love secret, he pointed to the dancer, smiling, said, "All of you are v lucky, I have brought my gf along, hope you all do not beat her up!" He had close-body contact dance with the dancer. Under a veil, he changed the color of her dress from white to grey & to red, the audience was stunned.

In thanking his Taiwanese fans he sang If U R My Legend. Water to Forget, & other love songs. He teased that those who cannot sing these songs should leave the hall.

The screen showed his young innocent look when he sang the song of the movie The Unwritten Law, Dear Children, fans screamed to see pictures of his younger days.

His 2 sons Andox & Box came onstage during encore. They had kiddie talk, somersaulted, did the split, & enacted a scene from I A. With a gun, Andox pointed to Box , Box exclaimed, "I am a good man!" The fans all laughed.

At one point fans rushed to the front of the stage & caused a messy situation, under his coercing they then went back to their seats.

In circle 20 yrs, Andy is good in keeping himself fit, his is as energentic as ever, to be in this state, he takes only HK dim sum, salad & vegetables for his 3 meals. He rehearsed till 10 pm before concert, his seriousness in work is amazing.

Joiln Choi, Small Pig Lo went to steal pointers. Big S personally made flowers with stars for Andy.

Andy leapt from a height to the cheer of all.

2 nights ago Andy held a concert in Taipei, he made fun of the love affair of Jay & Jolin. After performing with 2 sons, he teased, "I am gg dating with my gf but I cannot tell u who, I am afraid Jay will get angry." Then he said she is Jolin, his fans all laughed. Jolin had already left the hall.

On his 2 visits to France, he explained that he went to look for costumes & met movie producers, said, "I went alone, please don't bother. "

A prayer ceremony was held last Wednesday for the movie Future Cops, the disciple of Thailand religious leader White Dragon King was called to lead the ceremony. Leads including Andy Lau, Big S, child actress Xu Qiao, Taiwanese idol He Jun Xiang, TVB senior officer Le Yu Ling were present, she seemed to like He Jun Xiang, her 'son', a lot.

It was said Lam Fung wished to be Best Actor (for TVB YV serial) so much that he had invited Le Yu Ling for lunch frequently.

Andy who is Guinness Bok record holder of the most number of awards teased uncontrollably, "I too want to be the King of TV serial! I want to have lunch with you!"

After the press con, she really took Andy & He Jun Xiang for lunch at Pan Pacific club in Tsim Sha Tsui.

Since after filing Black Horse Prince in 1999 & Gambler In Vegas, Andy is collaborating with Wang Jing again after 9 years. If ever Andy goes back to TVB to film TV series, it is not unlikely he would not win the award.

ANDY BEGINS HIS LIFE WITHOUT TASTE

DREAM OF THE STAR CHRISTMAS JOURNEY @ HARBOR CITY Xmas light-up ceremony was held last evening. It kicked off by the lighting of fireworks, leading the way in was Santa Claus in a locomotive. Leads of the movie, Dream of A Star Andy Lau, Denise Ho & director Andrew Lau were guests at the light-up, few hundreds of the citizens were drawn to the site, it was packed with people.

The recent financial tsunami has affected HK market, this xmas light up added some brilliance to the festival. Andy had written the word Xing Fu on the star, wishing HK people living in happiness forever. Denise hopes HK people can show more concern & be accommodative, Andre Lau wishes peace on Earth. As for Shu Qi who was absent she had filmed a video clip to wish all a Merry Xmas !

Andy talked on anecdotes during filming, he teased that Denise during filming got herself really drunk. It was a scene when she kept having NGs, the director suggested she took some wine before she tried again, but after 3 sips she was drunk, she kept asking people to teach her acting with the script. But she was sober enough to be polite, calling people her senior.

Andy is going to BJ to film Future Cops, in between he will have concert in Singapore , as for the music awards in HK, he has to see if time allows him to rush back to attend.

It has been rumored online that the concerned authority in the mainland stipulated that HK artistes cannot receive a single cent in charity activities, in all concerts they have to sing live & not lip-sync. Andy indicated, "Doing charity should not take money, when I do charity I do not take money, there is no problem with singing live, I sing live all the time, but I need to pick one with a better equipped place."

On the economic tsunami affecting the entertainment circle, chances for artistes to perform will decrease, Andy said this does not affect him, as he only holds concerts & do charity shows, he does not do other shows.

When Denise was exposed to be drunk, she said she always drunk on & off the screen, she remembered that on the last day of shooting in Macau, she played crazily with Shu Qi, they drank a lot, after that they went to the casino, they chatted with the casino lady, & told people to admire them, they even called the cleaner lady to work harder. Luckily the security personals did not drag them away despite talking nonsense. She lost money in the casino.

........ It is the third time Andy was guest of the Xmas light up. He said previously he only knew this place has 5 flag posts, the most impressive one was a car show at the Ocean Terminal. At that time he wanted to buy a car so much, whenever he came here he has many memories.

When he was asked the interesting thing during shooting, he quipped, "Denise got drunk." Denise was embarrassed, she said, "We talk this in private." She indicated the most unforgettable was shooting with Zhang Han Yu, one was hurt in the head & one in the mouth.

....... In one instance during shooting at the casino, the people there thought he was God of Gambles they told him not to stay," said Andy.

For Andy the 5 flag posts is a familiar place which he has special affinity. "The 5 flags was a place I was familiar with, I used to meet people in this place. There were car shows before here, I told myself next time if I want to buy a car I will come here. "

ANDY BEGINS HIS THREE TABOOS FOR CONCERT IN TAIPEI

For 6 yrs Andy has not held concert in Taiwan, in Nov he will be at the Small Giant Egg, all the tickets had been snapped up, lately he is busy with filming & concert rehearsal, he begins to abstain from oily food, salt & carbohydrates. a Life without a taste.

According to the station, the managerial company indicated that in these 2 yrs, a mth or 2 b4 the concert, Andy will follow the dietician's instruction, after 7 pm he does not take carb, only when the concert is over he follows the normal diet.

Also, Andy has a way of taking care of his voice, he takes Chinese hebs including jingseng, cordyceps, & other expensive stuff, though it is expensive, he needs them to keep his voice to satisfy his fans.

As for the details of concert, he has a headache, he can only reveal that he will sing more mandarin songs, hope to have fans joining in.

He is eagerly looking fw to this concert, the line up will be different from that in HK or mainland.

Wang Jing's new movie, Future Cops, stated shooting in BJ yesterday. Both male& female leads Andy & Big S were present. The reporter managed to get the draft copy of Andy�fs screen look.

The movie is about Andy coming from 2085 to 2020 to solve a case, future cops are in western suits usually, but at time of danger, by pressing buttons at the legs he is transformed to an armored person. He will be armed with a lacer weapon, just like Japanese manga GUYVER Other than Xu Qian, Fan Bing Bing also played Andy's wife.

ANDY LAN & JACKY CHAN BOTH ENTERED FOR SELECTION OF GREENING CHINA

2008 Greening China selection has caught the attention of many in the various communities, the public has been eagerly nominating & participating. There are a total of 273 nominees, out of which, 52 are from the entertainment circle, Andy Lau, Jacky Chan, Li Bin Bing, Wang Bao Qiang, Vicky Chow, Yao Ming & others are in.

Last Tuesday (Oct 28) East Asia held a press con to announce buying over of Capital Records with a sum of 88 millions. It will release some of the old classic songs of yore later, & will also hold concerts on from Dec 13 to 15.

East Asia which has roped in almost all singers from capital Records, finds no difficulty in holding such a concert, but a news report said that the singers fought to be on the center spots on the poster, it was said Mirium even called Boss personally to give her a good spot.

Not sure if it is for fear of getting into trouble of standing positions, at the press con, Andy who does not even need to give way is rightfully the center-man, but he kept giving way to others. At the end he gave way at the center spots were taken by Andy Hui & Denise Ho.

Actually it is not too bad to stand by the side, such as At17 because of at the side, boss Peter Lam went to stand beside him & put his hand on his shoulder. Having boss beside you is sure to be on the spot light on the papers.

During toasting, Andy actively toasted to TVB senior officer Le Yi Ling, at the same time, Commercial Radio Yu Zheng who has not on good terms with Andy appeared suddenly, Andy had never ever received an award from C R, he appeared shocked at first, but he still toasted to him.

TASTING ALL THE CANDIES BUT DID NOT BUY ANY

Ever since he became famous, Andy seldom visits crowded places. Recently when he was shooting Dream of A Star in Macau with Shu Qi & others, he behaved like a tourist. He tasted food in the public places, trying out food from the stalls to even the shops, but he did not buy any. In a shop making egg rolls, he played with the egg roll-machine when the lady was away, the lady on seeing quickly stopped him, "Please do not touch!" Indeed it is more important to keep your rice bowl, even Heavenly is of no exception!

Andy & Shu Qi played a pair of loves in the movie Dream of A Star, it was said the story was based on the story of casino tycoon Stanley Ho & his 4th wife Angela, the scenes were taken in Macau.

In a scene taken from a street, though it was the first time the two collaborated, they were equally playful. During free time they went around tasting candies.

The shop owners of course welcomed the arrival of big stars, they kept taking out their best for them to try, & had photos taken to showcase in the shop next time. Andy had a good appetite, he tasted dried pork, peanut candy, ginger candy, almond biscuits, pineapple roll & all others. During tasting, he was surrounded by a lot of auntie-fans, the shops were packed with people. Shu Qi kept licking her fingers, & yelled, "Nice! Nice!" After a big meal, she bought only 3 packets of ginger candy.

When the lady in charge of making egg roll walked away, Andy tried his hand on the machine, he even wanted to use his hand to feel the temperature at a close range. The lady quickly yelled out to stop him, worried that he might get burnt.

She quipped, "If you want to eat I can make for you." Andy had to obediently waited by the side.

Other than attracting the auntie-fans, Andy is also much welcomed by the kids, He had a good time with the kid, Shu Qi had no way of joining in

When he turned his head, his asst had made a boy cried, he quickly went to comfort him.

Andy went to Thailand Phuket to film an MV & the cover for his new album cover. In the MV, he acted like God of Love, giving out 2 types of chocolates, Love & Hope, to lovers. During shooting, he met with the riot in Thailand, he had to stay back for another day as Phuket airport was affected before he could go back to HK.

The new album will be out in the middle of the month, it is the first album he releases after joining East Asia. Boss Peter Lam is not scrimping, he used millions to help launch this first shot. Just deploying the set to Phuket in August to shoot the MV & album cover alone cost him a few millions. In the MV, Andy gets ready to give Love Chocolates to this pair of young lovers.

A section of the beach was borrowed for filming, the big prop set up on the beach alone cost tens of thousands. Shooting went from morning till night. When the tide was high, the prop almost submerged in the sea water, workers had to use sandbags to stop the water from seeping into the tent.

In the new song ,Not Yet In A Sad State, (literal translated), Andy, as God of Love, match-made the young males & females, whoever has taken the chocolates from him with words Love & Hope will have their dreams materialized.

Andy was not at all worried encounering the protest in Thailand, said, "This is not so scary, I remember during 911, I was in Australia, had never thought such thing happened in America, the airlines were in such a chaos, I stayed back for a week in Australia. Everyday early in the morning I went to the airport , till night time when there was no more flight then only I went back to the hotel. This went on for a week before I was back to HK, so one day is nothing! "

The movie Future Cops directed by Wang Jin, starring Andy Lau, Barbie Hsu aka Big S, Xu Qiao & Mike He Jun Xiang, held a camera-opening ceremony yesterday. As White Dragon King from Thailand was called to lead the ceremony, main actors were all in white attire, except Xu Qiao who was in grey mixed with black. Big S in a low-cut dress had one of her shoulders exposed, becoming center of attraction.

In the movie, Andy plays the role of a cop of the future coming back to the present, he will be dressed in mechanical costume & helmet, looking just like an iron-man. There will be some fighting scenes, he quipped, "Since Chen Xiao Dong plays a part in directing, there will be many instances on wire, the least will be as much as the opening ceremony during BJ Olympics."

In this financial crisis, some actors reduce their fees, Andy indicated his fee is low, there is no space for adjustment.

Xu Qian acts as Andy's daughter, while Big S has a love affair with him going forward in time. Andy disclosed that Xu Qiao visited the set when he was shooting Dream of A Star, they have thus know eack other.

Big S indicated that she became dizzy the moment Andy put his hand on her shoulder, if there is intimate scene, she will be more giddy! During her last movie promotion in HK, she had said she wishes to work with Andy the most, never had she thought the dream comes true so fast, she added she does not mind a lower fee as long as she can work with Andy. This is the first time Mike He is shooting a movie, though he had been shooting TV serials in mainland the last 4 mths. 3 days ago he went back to Taiwan for a day, the 2nd day he came to HK, he quipped that he has almost forgotten his home.

In the movie, he acts as Andy's superior, is he feeling any pressure? Said, "It is still ok at his moment, I hope I wont embarrassed myself, I am worried I may hamper the progress of filming, there are many actions in the movie, but I will give in all of myself to the director." He said he has many movie offers before this, but his manager has not accepted any, the fact that this offer is accepted means it is the best so far.

Will he be scolding Andy in the movie? Replied, "Should have a lot of chance for me to act, but I dare not scold him, he is my idol. "

The love comedy directed by Andrew Lau, previously named Dream of The Stars, starring Andy Lau, Denise Ho will be screened around Christmas.

The first promo activity will be Xmas Light up for Harbor City on Nov 13, by the director & actors. The theme is Twinkling Stars uniting hearts of Hongkongers.

Andy who is lighting up Harbor City for the third time will together with guests, leads the audience in the scene to wield sticks of twinkling star to create a romantic sea of stars, this will merge brilliantly with the Xmas decorations of the Harbor City. Stars represent hope & luck.

They will write their wishes on the stars, hope this can unit the hearts of the HK residents, to cheer them on in overcoming the financial tsunami!

Andy personally wrote the 2 words Xing Fu Happiness on the star, simple yet full of sincerity. The movie, Dreams of A Star, will be screened early of next year. Shu Qi plays the role of a casino girl who chanced upon tycoon Andy Lau, & became a phoenix. In real life however she does not wish to marry a rich man, but to have true love.

To play the role well, she learnt from a Macau casino lady the way of distributing cards & the small actions, after a few days of training she then realize it is quite an art, it was rather tough to remember the actions & the lines during shooting.

Andrew Lau has based on the Western movie, Pretty Woman, as blue print to shoot this movie.

Andy Lau, the rich guy, developed feeling for the casino girl Shu Qi. After some intense wooing he finally won her heart. He gave her expensive clothes in bringing her to parties of the upper class, but the other tycoons openly ridiculed her because of her background.

Shu Qi indicated in real life, the upper class has its own problems, she only wishes for true love.

Andy & Denise will be present at a Xmas light up, as Shu Qi is not in HK, she will not be present. She will try to be back for the promo activities when the movie is screened.

'Mc Donald World Children�fs Day Bear Bear activity' was held at Causeway Bay yesterday. Andy was invited to attend, other than bringing Andox & Box which were designed by him, he introduced the Bear Bear that he designed. He also demonstrated how to play an online game with Andox & Box as theme.

Andy's white shirt has a picture of Andox, he said it is a gift from a friend who designed tee shirts, this is the only one, he jested that Andox & Box are more popular than him nowadays. He hopes Andox & Box can help him to say words which he is not able to say, as he has to behave seriously in attending activities, he cannot fool around.

When the reporters asked if they can interview them, quoting the incident of billionaire Joseph Lau Luen Hung who was 'hit by a mike', he quipped, "You can! But please do not use the mike to kiss them."

Nominations of the 45th Golden Horse Awards were officially out yesterday. The Warlords, directed by Peter Chan garnered the highest of 12 nominations, it is the big winner. Taiwanese movie Cape No 7 has 9 nominations, although both male & female leads were not in. In addition, The Assembly, Ocean Flame 2008, have 6 & 5 respectively. They are the black horses hot this year.

Red Cliff was popular before the results were out, however, only Hu Jun is nominated in the Supporting Actor category, Lin chilling, Tony Leung were all out. Painted Skin is not even mentioned.

The event will be held on Dec 6 @ Taichong city.

G H Awards is the only movie awards in Taiwan, last year Lust Caution by Lee An swept most of the awards, this year The Warlords is nominated in Best Scxreenplay, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Original Script, Best Action Directing & other 12 categories. Peter Chan who is now in Taiwan hopes all the actors can be nominated. On Cape No 7 having strong box office, he indicated he will go to watch if time allows, as it is a legemd on movie.

Best Actor is contested by Jet Li, Louis Ko, Zhang Hanyu, Liao Fan. Jet & Zhang were crowned Best Actor in HK & mainland recently, Louis & Liao Fan are both good actors, it is going to be a tough fight.....

The witty schoolboy in Stephen Chow's comedy "CJ7" will play the daughter of Andy Lau in a Hong Kong sci-fi film on the lines of "X-Men."

Eleven-year-old actress Xu Jiao, who played a boy in her silver-screen debut "CJ7," will join Andy Lau and Barbie Hsu in Wong Jing's "Future Cop," the director told Beijing News on Tuesday.

The new film tells the story of a police officer in the year 2085, who travels back in time to 2008 to save his kidnapped daughter.

"At the end of next year, movie-goers will see a film with a style very similar to 'X-Men'," Wong, who also wrote the screenplay for the film, said.

The film will employ the same team that did special effects for the latest Batman movie, "The Dark Knight," Wong added.

At the press con yesterday, it was announced that Capital Artiste Music Records Ptd Ltd company will become part of eSun Holdings Limited

At the press con yesterday, Andy met the top officer of Commercial Radio Yu Zhen, he gentlemanly gave him a toast.

Most of the East Asia singers attended, including Andy Lau, Denise, Ivana, Andy Hui, Bosco, Wei Shi, Sammi, Mirium & Richie were absent because of work .

Ivana & Wei Shi represented Sammi & Mirium to present the original tapes of the two when they were under Capital Artiste to East Asia. Andy Lau represented singers to present a diamond album to East Asia boss Peter Lam.

Singers talked on their feelings on Capital Artiste company, Denise talked a lot, Andy Hui teased that she is a windbag. ....

Andy was once singer under Capital Artiste, but it was only for a very short time. During that time he was put on the shelf & had not released songs for a long time, East Asia has used 88 million to buy the rights to all the songs of Capital Artiste, nothing is better than this!

On the current financial tsunami, Andy said there are benefits on signing to a record company, at the present market singers can continue to release albums, they do not have to worry as much as the boss.

His father had asked him to buy HSBC shares many years ago but now he dares not buy stock even it is low, as he does not know stock

Andy has not been affected much by the current financial tsunami as he is not well versed in stock investment. His way of managing his finance is by investing in properties. Anyone who has cash on hand at this moment should be on the look out for property, he reminded those who prepare to invest beware of the loans condition, do not be in a rush.

He added his father advised him to buy HSBC shares few years ago, his will just keep them & hope it rebounds one day.

He does not understand the stock market at all, he will buying property which is more secure. When asked if the property he owns has dropped in value, he said, "I have not bought anything these 5 years, I never buy when the market is high, most of my properties were bought 10 years ago, so I think they have gone up in value.
