After few days rest, Andy set off to Toronto for the Film Festival. His movie FTK takes part in the exhibition.

He was at the airport at abt 2+pm yesterday. In white shirt & white pants, a la a Prince Charming, he looked fresh . Abt 30 fans were at the airport, including few Japanese fans, really caring fans. Andy said, “The movie is just for a show, nothing else.”

BA, together with Mdm Tussaud’s Wax museum & British Tourist Board, had a contest for Andy’s fans to win a trip to London. The result was released The winners get first priority to visit HK Mdm T’s museum. Other than wax figure of Andy, there are abt a hundred over other figures including Jacky Chan, Michelle Yeoh & Li Ka-shing.

Anita was guest at Andy’s concert, she wore almost the same outfit as Andy. She denied it was pre arranged, she said the attire is so common that you can find it all over the street. Anita said she will invite Andy for her concert next year for her 20th anniversary. They duo has plans to do stage drama together, but there is no suitable scripts yet.

Nicholas Tse announced the nominees of the First World’s Chinese Songs Awards. Andy, Jacky Cheung, Richie Ren, Nic Tse & Sun-nan are some of the nominees. Nis said he personally thinks Andy stands a good chance, as his votes are v high in the Mainland.

Andy's name had been made used of by con men lately in Mainland China to cheat females. A man calling himself the manager of Andy fr HK successfully cheated 4 over mil dollars from 112 females, out of which 60 lost their virginity.

Come October, Andy will hold a concert tour in Mainland China. The one in Hefei is said to be the most grand, it will be held in a stadium that can house few tens of thousands people. New iron gates & barricades are being built now in preparation for the event.

Andy fans in Mainland are more careful now after the fraudulent case was exposed, they called up AWC HK to confirm before they book tickets. Ticket sale is now hot after confirmation Andy said those who couldn't get ticket in HK can consider going to China!

3/9---Daily life back to normal, but feeling of doing concert is no less, because I have to prepare for my concert in Australia in the middle of the month. Other than practise dancing, have to arrange new work, because during concert time, all the daily work has been set aside, to be wholeheartedly for concert, luckily all the arrangement are worthwhile!

2/9---Tonite just finished another summer fiesta concert!
Actually tonite AWC pre-celebrated b¡¯day for me. There were members fr around the world, who after watching the concert, stayed back to join the gathering, so¡­..though no big productions, no pro dancers, no good sound effect, but¡­.still had a gp of v¡­v¡­supportive friends, so the atmosphere was no less than the concert!

Tonite's guest was fat gal Sammi. She is having her rehearsal for her own concert, v thankful for taking time off to come as guest. All 15 concerts completed tonite. Really v hard to let go! I am scared tomorrow when I wake up, I will like to go to Coliseum for another round!

When I was working at Andy's Managerial Co, Andy ever asked me, "Do u buy my album?" I said, "No." He asked further, "Have u ever seen my concert?" I again answered, "No." The problem lies not with him, it was myself who pretended to be Westernized & disliked to listen to Chinese songs.

All in the world knows Andy is magnanimous. Really he did not get angry. In his previous concert, he told his nanny to ask me if I wanted to go for the concert. I wanted to, but I had to do stage drama in Zhaojou, I was not able to make it. This time, though I have acting commitment, I actively called up to ask for ticket, hoping to get a better seat, to admire his show.

There are 2 types to concert for singers, one is called musical, the other is an actual concert. Andy belongs to the latter. Other than the familiar melodious good songs, stage design, visual effect, dance choreography, all have been meticulously taken care of.

Maybe because he is an actor to start of with, Andy in different costumes, could bring out the different feel. There is 'acting' to his singing. In addition to the warm & close easy banter, his eyes can 'kill', Andy's concert is so successful that it mesmerizes every fan.

Many with 'sore tongue' still like to critise his singing. May I ask, "What else do u want from him?" Frankly speaking, from an angle which is not Chen Zhiqin¡¯s: he knows how to use his deep abdominal muscles, his voice is not at all hoarse, it is the voice with strength & emotions. He is at any time better than any of the many idols of today. Although he is a senior that I respect the most, today's this comment is telling true facts.

Please, for some, do not 'pick bones in the eggs' . Andy Lau¡¯s concert is really not bad, there is sincerity plus hardwork, even a rascal like me who do not buy his album wish to present a word, Excellent, to him. Andy Lau, I give in !

Western & Eastern movies have both done well this summer holidays, total box office for the 20 movies add up to abt 300 mil, 3 fold increase than last year. Form the top 10 movies, HK movies beat Western movies marginally. Andy Lau & Stephen Chow are the 2 big winners.

Though there are 4 HK movies out of the 10, total collection is 145 mil, higher than collection for 6 Western movies of 132 mil.

Stephen¡¯s SS collected 60 mil, is the champion & a record for HK movies. Andy¡¯s LOAD is next at $40, 400,000, followed by Mummy II with 100,000 less. At the 4th position is FTK, with 26 mil. Total collection for Andy¡¯s 2 movies is high at 66 mil.

1/9---Wake up fr sleep, find out I am at home, has feeling of warmth¡­..also feel a bit of loss¡­¡­on one hand because at home has the feeling of good fortunate ! On other hand because tonite cannot hear everyone cheering & feel loss!
Thinking back, the whole concert, actually has a lot of shortcomings. Not all the friends can listen to the songs they like. Not all the audience can have close contact with me. But we have done all we could, hope everyone is satisfied! & had enjoyed every second of my concert!
Though the concert is successfully completed, but AWC members, don¡¯t forget our appointments!

Hailed as the most exciting concert in these 2 years, Andy Summer Fiesta Concert came to an end 2 nights ago. In all the 15 nights, Andy invited different good friends as guests. In the last show, the fat gal in LOAD Sammi was invited as guest. There was also an uninvited guest Stephen Chow. Many VIPs such as Stanley Ho & wife, Lin Jian Yeu, Michelle Reis etc attended.

After Andy finished singing the theme song of Shaolin Soccer, Stephen appeared suddenly on stage. This not only made the audience happy, it caught Andy by surprise. Stephen joked, ¡°I waited for your phone call every night to invite me, but u never call me, so this is the last show, I have no choice but to come uninvited.¡±

Andy replied, ¡°I had so much difficulty to act as fatty, yet I lose to your Shaolin Soccer, so, every night I sing the theme song Kick Up A Future, hope this can move u to the concert!¡±

Stephen: ¡°My SC had such good result is because of your song, the audience go to cinemas to hear your song. This is the trick to lure your fans to go & watch the movie many times! By right I should be thanking u, haha!¡±. [I think you are quite right, Stephen!] Andy said he wishes to act in SC sequel, as a goalkeeper Stephen said Andy will take away the rice bowl of his ¡®sworn brothers¡¯.

Sammi appeared at encore section, on seeing the fatty look, she exclaimed, ¡°Your fatty look is so handsome, I almost fall in love for real during filming!¡±

They duet a song Wonderer¡¯s Heart. The response was v high.

During the Latin dance, Andy had a careless wrong move, both dropped hugging on the floor. But Andy reflex was good, he swiftly flipped over & rode on Shirley, continued with the sizzling dance, as if nothing had happened. It was almost a 3rd category scene. The audience applaused loudly.

On seeing the VIPs, Andy exclaimed, ¡°Wah, tonite come many beautiful ladies!¡± He called out Michelle Reis, this made her v happy. Playful Andy turned to Stanley & Lin Qian Yue, ¡°Now everyone should have taken down their ties, Mr Ho, u should! Do u want to take a walk on the stage?¡± Ho who behaved like a little fan waving the light sticks the whole night, smiled. His 4th wife Angela helped him to loosen the tie. Angela who likes dancing, praised highly Andy¡¯s dance, gave him 100 marks. She would tried the jump with Stanley at home.

Andy teased Lin Jian Yue, ¡°Wah, I thought my fatty self is sitting there, actually it is Lin Jian Yue!¡± Andy would not even spare Lin, the audience burst out with laughter. Lin waved sportingly, never mind leg being pulled.

At ending time, Andy said he has been used to hearing audience applause before going to sleep, he feels hard to part with this stage feel. He admitted that he will be quite loss after the concert, he is v thankful to all for the support. When he sang U Are The Pride Of My Whole Life, he was so moved that he was teary. Encore after encore he sang. He sang till 11:45 pm

The orgniser was fined HK$20,000.

Just champagne alone Andy received 20 from fans. He opened 5 on the stage, toasted with fans.

At the celebration party, on his concert being hailed as the best in these 2 years, Andy said he too felt his is the best of all his 5 concerts in the years. If this is done by another concert, it will be equally a good show. He is worried he wont be able to put up one better than this. It is also the first time he felt most hard to part At first he was worried abt the market, he had never expect full house every night, abt 93 % are sold tickets, only 7% is for VIP . The organizer Chang Yao Yong wanted Andy to add more shows, but Andy has other commitments till Mrch next year, so he turned him down.

Flora Chan was guest to Andy¡¯s concert the other day & was praised by him. Andy had indicated his wish to film movie with her. In return, Flora said Andy is the most rounded of all artistes. He is not only an artiste, he is good in business, capable & handsome. As to Andy¡¯s comment that their combination with ¡®topple everyone¡¯, she laughed that has to depend on Andy.

In the last but one of Summer Fiesta concert 2 nights ago, Andy invited Coco Li as guest. Coco, in a casual attire, praised highly of Andy¡¯s Latin dance. She self derided that she doesn¡¯t know Latin dance, she could only shake the bon bon. She demonstrated it on the spot, the audience gave her loud applause.

When Andy introduced his guest, the audience shouted for Anita Mui. After Coco had finished singing, the audience again shouted for Anita. Andy said, ¡°I know Anita is here, she is not singing tonight. But still, I want to take her round the stage once.¡± Every one again cheered for her. Anita, who was at the audience seat, obliged. Andy again displayed his gentlemanly disposition, he carried her up the stage.

He told her, ¡°Okay, tonight u just stay here & keep me company as I sing. I have selected a song specially for you, 'Come Back To Your Side'¡± Andy knows this is the song Anita likes the most. He held her hand & walked round the stage as he sang. Anita never stopped smiling, she lowered her head shyly.

The audience wanted Anita to sing, Anita finally sang Moon Represents My Heart. At the line: ¡®U asked me how deep my love is for u¡¯, she looked at Andy, Andy did not answer, the audience shouted in reply, ¡®100 marks!¡¯, Anita was so happy that she almost couldn¡¯t continue singing, she smiled sweetly.

Anita wore the same white top & jeans alike Andy. The audience teased that they were in lovers¡¯ suits, Andy admitted that they are too compatible!

A gp of new recruits of Andy¡¯s company turned to support their boss. They sang Ten Years for Andy.

TVB held a promo activity for its new serial launch yesterday. In one comical skit, Yuan Zhaosiang encted Andy¡¯s concert scene, he lifted up a guest with one arm. Andy called Nancy, who was there, to show his concern, as she had a fall that day. But actually she was the one crushing Andy & she was apologetic.

Andy can be said to be the big winner of this summer holidays.

Though Shaolin Soccer had broken HK box office record, Andy¡¯s has 2 movies during this summer holidays, LOAD collected 40 mil, FTK 25 mil, a total of 65 mil. This is more than Stephen¡¯s SC.

Don¡¯t forget, Andy has personal concert, saying that he is a big winner is not unfounded.

Stephen used 2 yrs to film SC to break the record. Though it is a happy news, but Andy knows how to use people who are capable. Within these 2 yrs he has not filmed only one movie, but from Needing U, to AFB & LOAD to FTK, a total of 4 movies.

Box office of the 4 movies adds up to more than 120 mil. Results from his album & concerts are yet to be counted.

Andy is a v hardworking person, almost all in the circle knows abt this. His dedication to his work is rarely seen in the circle.

For his own movie, he can go to every cinema to promote. This is not what the other Heavenly Kings or superstars can do.

LOAD¡¯s good collection is within expectation, not so for FTK.

Before FTK opened, Andy had postulated publicly that if this genre of movie could have 20 mil box office, he is satisfied.

Now at 25 mil, is out of his expectation. This is due to his hard work in the promo activities.

Andy likes to get involved personally in all work, he too has employed many to help him. As such, he is even able to help Stephen to sing SC theme song.

All famous stars have some capable persons working for them from behind, otherwise popularity would not be long. Esp so for those who sing & act.

Andy understands this fully. He begins to build his umpire in entertainment, has albums, movies, TV productions & artiste management.

Artiste should be able to expand his career at his peak, knows how to be an outstanding controller, can then the life span of his career be prolonged.
